LEGO DUPLO LEGOVille Family House 5639

We bought this set for our daughter, who just turned three. She loves playing with her big brother's Duplo and also wanted a dollhouse. Unlike a lot of toys that you put together (I'm looking at you, Playmobil), this set is simple and fits together nicely. It's a godsend for over-worked parents.

Question for Lego: Why, oh why, do you not make more houses/dollhouses/etc. type Duplo sets? I've read that Lego is trying to increase its "girl" Lego offerings and a Duplo house set for make believe family play should be about the most obvious option they should be pushing. Alas, no, and thus this (discontinued?) overpriced set was what we settled for. My toddler loves it, she loves to play family with it, and I bought her extra "people" figures to use in it. Great combination of building plus make-believe family play, two areas my todder is very interested in. Lego, please make more like this at more reasonable prices!

I bought this set for my 19-month-old daughter who really enjoys stacking regular duplo blocks as high as she can. Even though my 3- and 4-year-old boys have their own more masculine, if you will, legos, when this set arrived, all three of them had a blast with it.It obviously has appeal to the dollhouse-loving yet construction-oriented children out there, and my favorite feature of the set is the presence of several wall, column and roof pieces that lend themselves to building houses/tunnels/garages quite quickly (before a sibling demolishes them).In my family, it's a hit! If you are looking for a fun, beautiful dollhouse that allows your child to combine role-play, creativity and building skills, look no further. This is the perfect product. It is even more beautiful than other non-Lego dollhouse sets. Very pricey but it is a good collectible, since Lego is currently not selling Duplo house sets anymore. Everyone in my house - grandparents, hubby, our two year old had great fun building and playing with it. I really wish Lego can continue to create and sell such great Duplo house sets.

We bought this for our 2yo daughter, but our 4yo and 6yo boys love it, too. It works as a dollhouse, but it's also very fun to use the parts and other Duplos to make other houses, police stations, zoos, jails, forts, etc. If you didn't have any other Duplos, it wouldn't be as versatile, but there are still lots of different ways to build a house with it. My kids' favorite pieces are the bathroom pieces (I know, I know). I like how the house is in gender-neutral colors so anyone can enjoy it without worrying about whether it's a "girl's toy" or a "boy's toy". Even I like playing with it!

This was by far the best Christmas gift for my 2 year old girl this season and I believe it's the best first doll house for all little girls.It's so much fun since we can put together the house in other variations, play with all the furniture and with the family dolls, store all the house easily and build it again.I only wish Lego Duplo would sell more accesories for the kitchen, a living room and playground.I truly recommend this!

My son received this last year for his 3rd birthday and LOVES it. So does his 6 year old brother. We have a HUGE collection of duplos and this is a great addition our lego town which covers our playroom floor sometimes. Highly recommended and a fun set. Definitely check around on prices though...seems high on amazon sometimes.
