NorproStainless Steel 14-inch Skewers, Set of 6

These skewers are fantastic! I was skeptical if the stainless steel would be thin and/or flimsy and if the tips would poke huge holes in the food. I love having the flat sides because my food cooks evenly and closes tightly inside my bbq with the ring tip handles sticking out. The tips are sharp so be careful! But they are just the amount of sharpness you need to skewer meats and veggies. The food stays nice and tight and doesn't swirl around, thus creating an even sear on all sides. I'm very happy with this purchase and recommend it highly.

I have many other cooking implements made by NorPro and have always been impressed with their quality and attention to design detail. So, I decided to order the NorPro skewers, a decision I do not regret. I may buy more of these. I like that the skewers are flat and the food does not move on the skewer when it is rotated. All edges of the blade are chamfered so that the blade cannot cut you when handling. Very well built from heavy stainless these should last more than one lifetime if cared for.

I wanted stainless steel and these fit the bill. The loop "handle" is quite small and a little harder to grip. They are long enough to put plenty of food on them to feed a small country. I load them up with meat and veggies for the whole family. They feel sturdy and are easy to clean. Maybe next time we grill, I'll save time and effort and just stick a side of beef on one of these....only kidding!! I would buy from this vendor again but maybe pay more attention to the size.

I was a little concerned when I was reading the reviews because many said that these are just plain round skewers and not the flat ones (and many of those reviews were quite recent). I bought them anyway, figuring that even if they ended up being the round ones I could still probably use them. I am happy to report these are indeed the flat skewers. The people who complained that they were round skewers bought them a different seller. Make sure that the item is shipped and sold by Amazon and you will get the flat ones. I have only had them for a short time, but they seem high quality and work great.

These are a really nice product. They are long enough to keep an open space on each end so things don't get bunched up and squished. The skewer is also flat so they keep things from spinning. Both of those are really simple things that don't seem important until things start spinning when you try to flip them over on the grill or you smash the tomato trying to get the last mushroom on the end. It just makes the end product much more evenly cooked without the spinning piece that gets scorched.

If you plan on grilling more than once, these are far more convenient than the flimsy wooden skewers.

These are great metal skewers at a good price! I have been wanting metal skewers for awhile since every so often I would forget to soak wood skewers or I would run out of them. These pierce meat and veggies very easily and wash up nicely when your done. Highly recommended
