This welding & grinding face shield is high quality, well made, easily adjusted for head fit comfort, and comes with extra battery and both lens protection plastic covers.It was packed well and arrived next day. I decided to reuse the heavy plastic bag it came in to keep it dust free while stored on my welding cart.I’m impressed with how well it works. It quickly darkens, and the recovery time for it to go clear again has plenty of adjustment. I’ve got mine set at the fast side, so I can quickly assess the weld I just made. Shade darkness is easily set with your left had, and the knob is on the outside. The viewing area is small compared to the full face or the new panoramic style, but more than adequate. The shade control also can lock the shade to clear for grinding. Very slick, although I probably won’t use it for grinding.I’ve already used it to TIG weld a project I was working on, and did some 308 SS stick welds with it on another project. I was able to go from stick to TIG with a simple twist of the external darkness knob. Before darkening to weld, viewing is clear and natural looking.You can’t beat this welding shield for the price, and it even allows me to use my respirator with plenty of room between it and the face shield.The only complaint I had was the button battery used to power the shade was dead when it arrived. When I hit the shade test button nothing happened. I figured I would have to send the helmet back, but when I took the cover off the battery I found it incorrectly installed. The battery had draining completely do to this mistake, but I already had a spare supplied with my purchase. A quick swap out (with correct insertion), and it worked perfectly;-).

It's a little lighter duty on the headgear and straps than I really like but it works very well. The controls are easy and the response time is fast! I had a name brand helmet but purchased this one because it broke. Just a really good deal price/features . I've used it for MiG and stick welding so far

First I want to say that I am relatively unexperienced in the world of welding. I am not sure if there are safety standards with welding helmets the way that motorcycle helmets are tested for specific crash-test traits.This welding helmet has been fantastic. The auto-darkening feature is GAME CHANGING. I personally like to weld on a bench with other PPE on (turtleneck, apron, etc) so I don't rely on this for anything other than eye protection. Part of that is a general tendency towards safety, and part of that is that I would describe this as flimsy.The mechanism to keep it up over your head instead of in front of your face is a bit tricky/doesn't always hold it too well. The adjustment works well, though. The helmet has a lot of scratches on it after a few months of use. I would not trust this to protect me from large debris, but small beads of molten metal spraying off a messy weld won't be a problem.

Great helmet for the price. Good quality all around, auto darkening works perfectly when welding.

Great welding hood especially for the price it’s auto darkening comes with extra lens and it’s comfortable to wear even with glasses it’s a no brainer for the price the fit is amazing and from the quality it’s noticeable that it will be durable aswell

Helmet appears to be of good quality for the price. Have not had a chance to use it yet but at this point well satisfied

If I could give it an 11 I would. This shield has to be one of the best I have ever worked with the automatic darkening and lightning lets you produce quality pieces and never get off track. The price was great and the quality is beyond compare I highly recommend getting this if you’re in the welding business.
