You can count on Irwin for 1st class Quality. This is an extra long clamp and it's still strong and made well. Also bought a few more sizes for my favorite wood worker. All Irwin. All great!

After a few uses I would say it is a good quality clamp. It is very strong and operates smoothly along the bar. The one downside was converting it from a clamp to a spreader. The push button did not release the end to just slide off. I had to use a hammer to pop off the end. I assumed I might be breaking it in the process. Good news is, I didn't break it, and it now works as a spreader, but the transition from clamp to spreader is not easy or without worry. After several transitions it became a little easier, but still requires a hammer tap.

I saw one of these converted to a hydraulic coupling tool and since the already converted tool is so expensive, I decided to make my own. Basically when hydraulic implements are attached and detached from skid loaders and other tool carriers, pressure can build as the temps change and when you go to re-attach, the couplings cannot be pressed together by hand. The solution was to open the fitting slightly letting pressure out. That makes a little mess and takes tools and time. This works great with its high 600 pound rating and presses the fitting together without a fuss.

This set of clamps is larger than my prior sets. Hope that will provide better grip. I have found Irwin clamps much better than the cheaper knockoffs. This set is bigger and weighs slightly more than my older sets. The extra weight and larger size makes them slightly harder to use. I tend to use my older ones first. Can you ever have enough clamps?

My application is a little bit creative... I use it to clip my Ducati's 190mm tire so I can uh... break the bead and install a new valve stem. It actually worked. I'm pleasantly surprised that it has the force powerful enough to clip and break the bead for a considerably wide Michelin tire.Anyway, Irwin makes good product, doesn't matter where it is made, I'm ok for expensive item as long as it worked.

This stretcher worked perfectly. Made the job of replacing sling seat much easier.
