Well made, but can bruise fruit
The media could not be loaded. Pros: - integrated banana hanger with fruit bowl - large fruit bowl - sturdy metal rod construction - washable (unlike some woven baskets) - attractive designCons: - significant footprint on counter - metal rods don't support soft fruits well - can bruise/indent ripe fruitsI previous had a woven basket for fruit and a separate banana hanger. The genius of this design is to integrate the two. It is quite sturdy; I can hang two bunches of bananas and has an attractive design. It is larger than I had anticipated so it can hold a lot of fruit. The biggest downside it that the metal rods are narrow so they can bruise and indent fruit, especially soft fruits or if you stack the basket full.If you found this review helpful, let me know with your vote below.

The Perfect Fruit Basket
This product definitely does its job well. We wanted something to keep the bananas elevated and away from the other fruit to help them last a little longer. Once you get to the last banana obviously there isn't much help to be had but it definitely extends their life by a couple days, as opposed to sitting right on the counter. The fruit basket below has a nice weight to it so even if there are only banana's hanging, the weight of them won't tip the fruit bowl over. It holds a good amount of fruit, too. You could probably comfortably fit a whole 5lb bag of apples there (I like my apples and bananas, can you tell?). Sure, there are better looking baskets out there. I can't take a star for that because it looks exactly how they advertise it to look. Really though, for the price you can't beat a basket like this one.

Just what I needed
What I was really looking for when I originally searched on Amazon was a hanging tiered basket for fruits but I decided to go with this & I am not disappointed. The photo shows the basket holding only 3 pieces of fruit but it could easily hold 8-10 plus the bananas. Since it is made light, the bananas aren't going to just balance there without some fruit in the bowl, but it is perfect if you keep plenty of fruit in the house all the time. The thing I have found true about all fruit bowls is that it is easier to remember to eat your daily fruit if it is displayed on the counter, and the fruit always stays fresher (so long as you put it in a place that isn't too sunny in your kitchen.) This (as said by other reviewers) is a bit bigger than the photo might suggest to you. It shouldn't take up any more counter or table space than a coffee maker or toaster.

Great Idea, Too Lightweight To Be Ideal
If you only have two bananas at a time, and make sure to keep your bruit bowl well-stocked to balance it out, this will work for you.I'm not big on negative reviews, as most tend to be simple fixes, but this one can get very frustrating. I love the idea of this, but it REALLY needs to be weighted down, or the fruit is gonna fly- no, seriously!!!!I had just bought a medium sized bunch of bananas and some plums, and, excited to give my new hanger/bowl a try, I put the plums in the bottom and hung the bananas- and wound up chasing them ALL across the floor!!!!! There is no built-in weight to this- it's VERY lightweight metal, and appears mostly-well-made. It didn't break when the lack of balance took it to the floor, but I don't expect this to last long.If this was weighted, or you had a place to zip-tie it to or something, you could probably really find this useful. I continue to use it, but feel like I'm playing Jenga every time I grab a piece of fruit. One wrong move and it all falls over!!!!Nice product, but I won't be buying another.

Stylish and Sturdy
This is a nice fruit bowl. It is appealing to the eye, unlike other fruit bowls I've seen. The hanger for bananas (or whatever other fruits you'd want to hang) works nice, easily supporting about 5-6 bananas at once. It seems like a sturdy construction and since it's metal, it's pretty easy to clean. We've had it for almost a year and I haven't seen a spot of rust yet. Also, I haven't noticed any of the "bruising/denting of ripe fruits" another reviewer claimed. But I would agree that this bowl does take up quite a bit of counter space, which in our NYC apt, is valuable. We keep it on a rack next to the kitchen, with other small appliances and such. Just can't afford the counter space in our place. Definitely recommend this product though.

Really cute, but same issue as a lot of people here
I wanted something simple, yet sleek and chic, and this really fit the bill. After using it, I noticed the banana holder works great and holds up to three groups of nanners.... As long as you place them in the direction f the picture. The basket on the bottom is very large, but the weight of the fruit pushes down on the rest and they get indents from the base. I ended up putting a potholder on the bottom, which stopped the issue, but there goes the chic, slick look. Eventually, I'll find something stylish to put on the bottom.I like this product and it is what it says it is. Just watch the fruit on the bottom; the only reason it didn't get 5 stars.

Good Product
I ordered this to use as the ONLY fruit bowl on the counter. It has a good height for the bananas allowing them to hang freely, and plenty of room in the wire bowl for an assortment of fruits. While it is solidly constructed, the spacing between the wires of the bowl is a little too far apart. Fruits like Little Cuties (tangarines) and apricots fall through and then have "free range" of the counter and/or floor. Placing a paper towel or parchment paper inside the wire bowl helps keep the fruit contained, but detracts from the "clean" look of the unit. Overall, I'm satisfied and would recommend this to anyone looking for a contemporary, useful fruit bowl.

Well built but a few flaws
The holder is well built, both sturdy and well polished. In three years of using it, it looks as good as the day I bought it. Great for holding both fruit and bananas, but not as great for just holding bananas, as it'll become a bit heavy on the back and can tip over if you have 4+ bananas on the rack and nothing in the bowl. Only other complaint is that the hole at the bottom of the holder is big enough for some fruit (such as a smaller apple) to fall through if the unit is lifted up.

recommended!
Been looking for something like this everywhere but couldn't find any promising ones in the malls, so I bought this here. Great piece. Well polished and nothing scratches. Been using it for a couple days now. Shiny silver color, looks pretty durable, well balanced so far (with or without fruits in the bowl). My bananas are not super-sized and therefore I don't have any problem reaching the fruits in the bowl. Happy with this purchase so far!

looks great, works perfectly well
It is inexpensive and perfectly functional. Very solid metal, nicely finished in chrome. Joints seem well made, i.e. not dirt cheap spot welds with lazy finishing. I like it and it is a good value for the money in my opinion. By the way, it is so cool to have your bananas hanging in the air :-) ... and they do seem to last a long time this way ...

A great product.
Excellent product, I highly recommend it. I was expecting the wire to be a not much thicker than what you would get with clothes hanger wire, but it is very robust and sturdy. You can almost stand on it (well maybe not quite). There is more than enough room to hang large bananas and easily place oranges and apples in the bowl. It is also very stable, no risk of tipping over. We are very pleased with it.

Beautiful quality, Functional and a Decor in Itself.
When filled with fruits in the centre of the kitchen island it feels like I live on a tropical island. Specifically, when I have grapes hanging on the hook where the bananas are shown.
