König TVDLC10 Lens Cleaner with 20ml Cleaning Fluid for DVD/Blu-ray Player

I bought it to clean a DVD player. Unfortunately the player did not work but nothing to do with the product. I kept it to clean another player when I need to.

This product was originally designed in the 1980s and apart from the packaging has changed little since. It consists of a CD with 2 tiny brushes on and a bottle of cleaning solution. You put a drop of solution on each brush and then 'play' the CD. When you play the disk you see a menu with 80s style graphics asking you to choose an item. 1 item cleans the laser, others play test sounds for surround sound (5.1) or music. The accompanying graphics are awful - but then they are 40 years old now! I really wanted to give this a bad review simply because it is so old fashioned, with only the packaging updated for the 21st Century. But I can't - it works! Not only does it work but it does more than the listing specifies. So instead of calling it a crap design let's say it is a real 'retro' product. It does the job you've bought it for - and more. And - it's cheap as chips. Just buy one!

I have used the item. It seemed to work. This is about the bottle of fluid. Having read many reviews of other similar products, I am very familiar with comments that it is not stated on the product that the spout needs to be pricked with a pin or needle to open it. I didn't know if the same was true of this product, so to check, I undid the screw cap and then inverted the bottle to see if anything dripped out. The whole spout section just fell out with just the lightest squeeze. Luckily I was quick enough to avoid a major spill. I recommend, if the spout is loose, taking it out, drying it and the inside of the bottle neck and glueing them together. I used '151 Elastic Plastic' which should do the job, but don't put the screw cap on until it's dry!

Works as described

This one actually works to clean the laser in my blu ray dvd. The only problem is, it doesn't tell you you need to put a pin thru the nozzle as it is sealed. I tried to cut it, thought i had and squeezed the bottle, it popped open and i lost most of the fluid. you need to cut nearly half way down the nozzle for the fluid to come out. Never seen a nozzle like it.

Mon lecteur dvd qui a plus de 15 ans ne lisait plus correctement les dvd, ils sautaient tout le temps. J'ai tenté le kit de nettoyage en me disant que je n'avais rien à perdre au vu du prix et de l'âge de mon lecteur. Il m'a fallu refaire le nettoyage 4 fois mais depuis, impeccable! Le lecteur fonctionne à nouveau. Un bémol sur la fiole du produit nettoyant qu'il faut appliquer sur les petites brossettes du cd : le produit s'écoule mal et la fiole s'est ouverte d'un coup en appuyant dessus, répandant du produit un peu partout. Heureusement il y en a suffisamment pour des nettoyages ultérieures mais la fiole mériterait d'être repensée.

ReinigungsCd hat bei unserem Player super funtioniert. Es war wohl tatsächlich das Lesegerät verstaubt. Gedreht hatte der Player sich noch... Aber keine einzige Disc erkannt. Nun laufen besagte Dvds wieder. Kontakt zum Verkäufer sehr gut und sehr freundlich. Versandt hatte ungewöhnlich lang gedauert... Was aber vermutlich an der Post lag. Reinigungsflüssigkeit mit Nadel punktiert... Wie hier von anderem Rezensent beschrieben wurde. Hat super geklappt. Danke auch hier für. Produkt bekommt von uns alle Sterne.

Fonctionne dans les lecteurs avec un pivot central mais ne fonctionne pas dans les lecteurs style lecteur DVD

Auf der Reinigungs-DVD sind zwei Bürsten angebracht, die mit der beiliegenden Reinigungsflüssigkeit getränkt werden können. Das entsprechende Fläschchen war leider nur schwer zu öffnen und ich habe dabei sogar einen Teil der Flüssigkeit verschüttet. Am sinnvollsten ist es wahrscheinlich, beim Erstgebrauch zuerst den Deckel abzuschrauben und dann eine Stecknadel durch die Tülle in das Fläschchen zu stecken, um die Tülle durchlässig zu machen. Auf der DVD befindet sich ein Track mit einem "Reinigungsprogramm" sowie ein paar Tracks mit Testbildern. Der Preis erschien mir sehr preiswert - auch wenn ich meinen Player mittels dieser Reinigungs-DVD nicht wieder betriebsbereit machen konnte - was wahrscheinlich damit zu tun hat, dass der Defekt letztendlich nicht in einer verschmutzten Linse begründet ist. Daher kein Abzug, da auch kein Alternativprodukt geholfen hätte. Doch für das schwierige Öffnen der Tülle ziehe ich einen Punkt ab.
