I have used these particular BPHS1 headsets for nearly 10 years, and they are proven to be reliable and high quality for broadcast use. I recently purchased two here listed as Amazon Renewed/refurbished. Both arrived as if they were brand new in complete packaging, fully wrapped and clean as if they had never been opened. Both tested working perfectly. Wasn't sure about buying the Renewed versions, but Amazon's 90 day return policy helped make the decision, and the new condition upon arrival makes me feel like this was an excellent value. These headsets are highly recommended for sports commentary, studio use, or even for podcasting or video production. They are XLR and 1/4" connections, not USB, so be sure that's what you need. Audio-Technica offers a similar headset with USB if you need that. I also purchased a headphone amp to run these through so the talent can hear each other simultaneously while recording through a mixer.

I almost never write reviews, rarely does a product do what it's supposed to so well that I'm compelled to write about it. That's different with these headsets. I did a 4 hour broadcast using these of a live robot combat event and they performed even better than my expectations. They were comfortable, clear and were amazingly focused on my voice with very little crowd noise. Absolutely wonderful, and I definitely recommend them.

Everything is good except the mic arm is too short to put the microphone right in front of your mouth...which is the best place for minimum feedback

The media could not be loaded. Used for voiceover and live recording. Well made. Fairly comfortable. Good sound. Great mic performance and very easy to position. The only negative is the windscreen slips off easily. A possible negative is the output level is very lowI've attached a "video" clip (if Amazon allows it) containing audio that may be helpful. It was recorded with the windscreen in place, onto my Moto G phone using a home-built preamp. "ACX Check" shows the noise floor at -75.53 dB even though the bedroom window is open, the ceiling fan is running and the TV is playing downstairs.

The headphones themselves work decently. Unfortunately, the mic randomly stopped working a few months after I bought the headphones, and when I asked customer support they tried selling me on their other products rather than figure out why the mic stopped working. 2 stars bc the headphones portion works but I SPECIFICALLY bought these because of the built in mic, and that randomly broke despite my troubleshooting.

I tried several other podcast mics including the yeti. This has the best sound quality hands down.

Doesn’t work out of the box. Upon Durham there review, and some time with mummy multimeter, I found the pin 2 of the mic cable doesn’t work... the xlr is properly soldered, so it’s something within the molded cable.
