eufy Security Add-on Camera for Baby Monitor, 720p HD Resolution, Ideal for New Moms, Easy to Pair, Night Vision

This camera was purchased as a duplicate/secondary camera for use during travel. It connects to the monitor very easily and can be cycled through at ease. Overall, the review of this camera is incredible. We put this on our registry and have only used this. We know of other couples who have used multiple cameras (and there are hundreds on the market to choose from to begin with) but this camera is well worth a look and the cost. Affordable, functional and has a great picture/sound. I attempted to find the monitor and camera combo that we received on our registry on the store, but I was not allowed to leave a review as it was reserved for only verified purchases. That being said, I will review it here. This camera is actually made by another company I have purchased a handful of earbuds, Bluetooth speakers and charging pad (Anker) so when I found this out, I was excited because I stand behind this companies products. The monitor/camera combination is set at an affordable price of $109 (sometimes you can find it for less depending on deals Amazon might have). This monitor does NOT allow for phone connections of any kind so if this is an option you would like, look elsewhere. That being said, my wife and I were glad to see this as we know these types of cameras are more secure. The customizability options on the monitor have a wide variety. One of the best options on this monitor is the ability to set the noise setting. This will ultimately determine how much or little noise needed to be made to wake up the monitor and alert you your kiddo is awake. We have adjusted this setting based on the needs of our baby and has worked out nicely during sleep training. The camera quality is great, night vision looks good and the ability to move the camera up, down, back and forth for optimal angles is clutch. With it comes a wide angle lens which we use every time it is set up. We have two, one that is used as our primary which is mounted to the wall and a second we use to bring with us when we stay somewhere overnight or when baby is napping while out and about (in the pack and play). The battery life will get you through one night no problem without charging. There was only one time where the monitor shut itself off on us and we don't know why. As someone who has used a handful of other electronic products made by Anker, this just adds to a highly functional yet affordable electronics that my wife and I (OH and my mom wound up buying the same camera/monitor for when baby sleeps at their house) can stand behind. I highly recommend this product.

Update (April 18) - Eufy's firmware update bricked my monitor (see picture) and Cheryl at Eufy's response was to tell me "In your case, so glad that the separate monitor can be purchased on Eufy official website and please assured that a new monitor will resolve the issue". So much for Eufy's previously stellar customer service. YMMV but I'd be careful buying this since your monitor will need to be on the exact same firmware as the camera and if Eufy's software messes up your monitor, they'll probably tell you to buy a new one instead of doing the right thing and fixing or replacing your existing monitor. Not only is this bad for e-waste but it's also highly unethical imho. I recommend buying something else! This will be my last Eufy purchase and once my spotlight cameras and other Eufy devices conk out, I plan to replace them with other brands who will stand behind their product and have better software control. I was already mad that the Eufy security app sends constant ads for their security service and other devices and this situation made it worse. Original Review - I purchased this camera to use with my Eufy T8300 baby monitor system. This camera wouldn't connect to my existing system so I updated the monitor firmware following the instructions from Eufy's website. Now my baby monitor is stuck on a single screen in Spanish (I think it says no camera is connected) and won't even let me get into or cycle to the option to change the language & add a camera. I can't do anything with it and now thanks to Eufy, even the baby camera I had is non-functional. There's no easy way to reach out to Eufy either. I have to wait until Monday and hope that I'll be able to get someone thro' customer support who can help. This is disappointing. I have a lot of Eufy devices including their spotlight cameras and I was not expecting trying to add a camera to my baby monitoring system to result in me losing even the system I had leaving me without any way to keep an eye on my little one.

Have been very pleased with this product. People are amazed at the resolution and the toggling between multiple cameras add different vantage points looking into the crib for safe sleeping. It is important to keep the cameras and monitor up to date with the latest firmware upgrade releases Eufy comes out with. At one point, a camera was having a difficult time connection. Firmware upgrade was a very simple process and fized the glitch immediately. Customer service through their email is excellent. I inquired about a crib mount and they responded quickly and promptly with a mount I am currently using and very happy with. This company has some cool technology and I look forward to what they come out with in the future.

Overall, great product and works great. Unfortunately, my add on unit came with old firmware installed so the pan/tilt functions were not working. The seller was responsive and assisted me indicating that the firmware update should fix the issue. I did the update to ensure the monitor and camera had the latest firmware. Once complete, everything worked perfectly. Highly recommend checking this before you install to save yourself some steps. Camera works great, picture is nice and clear and the monitor has great range. Our old monitor struggled to keep a signal when we were on the other end of the house. This one works like a charm.

Got the camera and it didn't sync with my monitor. Got ahold of the company and had to send my monitor sent in for it to get updated. After I got it back it synced right up! Love these cameras and company.

Great camera I ended up returning bc the monitor and camera set were cheaper even though I only needed a camera.

Absolute GARBAGE. I don't even know where to start with the Eufy camera. I've actually lost track of how many times I've had to replace both the monitor + camera. The monitor will randomly stop picking up noise. I've woken up to other family members asking my why baby is crying and I'm not attending to them. It's also incredibly fragile. If you drop it chances are you're going to break it. The charging ports on both monitor and camera just randomly fail - they're incredibly fragile so you'll have to replace the entire item once they fail. The temperature is always at least 8 degrees warmer than the actual temperature leading me to panic that my kids are overheating. The range also SUCKS. The amount of stress/anxiety this system has caused me - it's NOT WORTH IT. After investing more than $1000 in this stupid system, I'm cutting my losses and moving on to another system for my 3 kids. Read the other 1 star reviews - they're spot on.

This was a great addition to our set up and adds additional flexibility. We keep one camera permanently next to the crib. This one we treat as portable, moving it if needed to our baby's play or nap spaces. Since I bought the cameras and monitor at different times, I went ahead and updated all of their firmware to the same version. This took a little while but wasn't terribly complicated. Now the whole system works flawlessly for our purposes. I do wish the resolution was a little higher, but overall we are pleased. Recommended.
