The Sources of Social Power: Volume 3, Global Empires and Revolution, 1890–1945

Very good insights and distinctions on the sources of power. Are missing some lines of reflections on the change of the concept of autonomy of countries, from the second world war till nowadays.

My husband is in a History Master's Program. He needed this book for some of his thesis research. I think he really likes it.

A good book, but the author is less good I thought.

Professor Mann continues to fill in the margins of our understanding of history, using the non-orthodox method of looking for the obvious and giving it a novel interpretation. These 4 volumes are a must read for any student of history, and like all histories it is incomplete without your complimentary particiaption. I recommend ou try them out to see if they fit . . . .
