It works great, excellent quality
Bought this for its baby safety features, and also a white noise function to drown out noise during baby's naps and early morning. It works great, excellent quality, looks just like photo. It is just loud enough for a pleasant white noise fan.

Good Product
The fan has been a good buy for us. Have had no issues since we bought it a 18months ago. Some reviews said the fan was too loud for their child, but we have found it to be quiet. I am not sure what else is out there that is much more quiet, but our kids are just fine with the noise, or lack there of. Very safe for kids, because there is not blade to get there fingers caught in. This little thing won't cool down a big living room or something, but a standard 12ft by 12ft room would be just fine.

Burned-out after 2 years/Blew a fuse
We use our fan a lot in our twin's bedroom and all has been fine until tonight when it unexpectedly turned off and we suddenly smelled a burning plastic-like smell. It was coming from the fan and it actually blew a fuse. It no longer works and it is completely dead. It will not turn on even when plugged into another outlet. We purchased the fan for almost $60 and it lasted just two years. I have written Amazon about a refund or replacement and considering the product info says it comes with a 5-Year Happy Parent Guarantee, I'm hoping they can help.

Decent fan overall
This fan is cute, and it creates the perfect amount of white noise. It puts out a decent amount of airflow for how tiny it is. However, when I opened it, I could hear (but not locate) pieces of broken plastic inside the fan somewhere. A few small gray pieces fell out when I tipped the fan over, but there are more in there still. It does not, however, seem to effect the function or safety of the fan. It seems a bit expensive for such a small fan, too. Overall, I like it.

Expensive and unfortunately, it wasn't very long-lived
Wow, this is an expensive little fan. I bought it to replace a fifteen dollar plastic Honeywell fan on my nightstand. The Honeywell couldn't be taken apart to be cleaned, and as I run the fan every night, the blades collect dust. Also, I have three-year old twins who like to stick stuff into the fan, and I couldn't get any of the stuff they'd shoved in there back out (there has been a battery in there for two years, and a quarter for about eight months). This one serves its purpose--it makes a breeze and some white noise so I can sleep. I haven't tried to take it apart yet to clean it, so I don't know how easy or difficult that will be. Supposedly, the kids can't cut their fingers off in it, which is a big plus, although we also haven't tested that theory (thankfully). I like that the cord wraps up in the bottom of the fan itself so there's not as much cord to deal with. And I LOVE the child-resistant switch. My kids loved to turn the other one on and off and on and off and on and off (repeat to infinity). I don't know if sixty-some-odd dollars is really a fair price for it, but it serves my purpose.I sleep with it on high. Low is a very, VERY light breeze, and it isn't loud enough for me to sleep by. It might be okay if you wanted a very slight breeze blowing on an infant. And it is little. Perfect size for aUPDATED, MARCH 2017: About four months ago, it started making loud noises intermittently. This would always occur when I first turned it on, and I'd turn it off and back on and the noise would stop. Then it started doing it randomly (i.e., in the middle of the night), which would wake me up. I'd turn it off and back on, and sometimes it would stop, but sometimes it wouldn't, so I'd have to leave it off. Then it progressed to doing it all the time, and no amount of turning off and back on, or smacking it, or shaking it would stop the noise. It's now unusable. So I bought a $14 fan from Target. My kids can stick their fingers in it, which I don't love. The extra cord can't be stored in the base, which I don't love. It's a little bigger than the Vornadobaby, too. But it's $14 to replace, and hopefully, my kids will outgrow their desire to stick their fingers into fans sometime soon. In the meantime, my bedroom door is locked.I'm letting it keep three stars bc it survived about as long as most people would want to use a very tiny fan blowing a small amount of wind at their baby for air circulation purposes in a crib, which is what it was probably designed for--not a lifetime of service on an adult's nightstand.

Great until it just doesn't work anymore....
We had this fan for about a year and a half and absolutely loved it. It was small, safe to have around our daughter's bedroom, and circulated air well without making the room cold. Unfortunately after 18 months of use, it made grinding or squealing noises if we tried to turn it on, and then simply wouldn't turn on. We have multiple fans in the house and have never had a fan just stop like this one. We are a bit disappointed.

Love it!
This is for me. I am 59 and hot all the time, even at my comfort zone of 65F. I lived in SW PA from birth to the age of 41, moved to North GA. I have always hated the heat and humidity, which there is way to much of here in the summer. Since our AC is not working, in the summer I sit with a strong fan 3 ft from me blowing right on me. Now it seems I am hot in the winter too, sigh. The 'summer' fan is to strong and cold even on low. This fan's high setting is the other fans low setting and the low setting is just right for winter, not to cold yet keeps me cool when I need it, and is, like the 'summer' fan it sits on a table 3 ft from me. And the foot print is very small. Now if you are getting this for a baby and bed you do not already have a white noise machine in the nursery I would get the Vornadobaby Breesi LS Nursery Air Circulator, Light + Sound Machine. It is only slightly bigger than this one. A sound machine is good to have for a baby, it will sooth and drown out other noises and thunder. Remember it is better to need noise to sleep, if you need noise you can also make noise, white noise, ticking clock, etc. But if you and/or a child learns to need total silence to sleep, there will be many sleepless nights. The Vornadobaby Breesi LS Nursery Air Circulator, Light + Sound Machine does what this does which is great, but it also has white noise and soothing lights,. Both of these fans are great but the extras in the Vornadobaby Breesi LS Nursery Air Circulator, Light + Sound Machine would be a big help for a new born and up to get use to.

Perfect!
Looks great, works great, and I love knowing it's safe for my kids. My favorite feature is that the cord wraps up into the bottom so no matter how close the fan is to the outlet there is no hanging, loose cord.
