Yuk ethanol gas, needed the grommet only, alcohol melted the rubber. Thought i might as well purchase the entire unit for the interior o-ring was probably melted also. Cleaned out the tank popped right in and has non-ethanol gasoline offering. No more government juice for my generator or small engines. This unit is great, grommet fit perfectly and the valve slipped in without a glitch. Thanks once again.

no corrosion, original valve was made of pot metal so did not last very long, original vlv begin to leak by after one year of use so gas remained in carb which gummed up the carb with old gas so the generator no longer starts with out carb removal and cleaning. new valve is plastic so no failure due to exposure to gasoline. installtion required heating rubber insert to make it a little more pliable to ease the installation.

I had a grommet failure so I bought the kit to replace everything. Great price. Easy to install. Arrived before I expected. It looked good until I filled the tank. The valve leaked. I re-installed the old valve.Edit: The seller reached out and offered a full refund. Good business action. Increase overall rating.
