The bags and the system work very well. I have pork chops in the freezer for 6 months and they don't have any freezer burn. I highly recommend this low cost system.

not for conventional vacuum sealers!
I thought these bags would be compatible with my vacuum sealer appliance, but they're not. In fairness, these bags are essentially really nice, generic 'zip-loc' bags. Unfortunately, that's the extent of use I'm getting from them.

Thick and durable. They keep vacuum very well. Comparing with other vacuum bags, they are cheap.

Great for sous vide!
I bought the thrifty vac system with lots of extra bags over two years ago... mainly to use in locations without electricity or normal kitchen appliances (camping, etc). I have since bought a Sous Vide machine and love the TV2 bags for sous vide. The wide leak proof seams and double zipper and thick plastic construction are perfect for sous vide! No leaks. Easy.
