Works great and looks good.
I just got my water wiggler about a week and a half and put it in my birdbath right away. It works great. I took me a few minutes to figure out the directions for the assembly, but it was easy, only need a Phillips head screwdriver, and went together in less than 5 minutes. My birdbath is under a flowering crab tree, so there are leaves that fall in it, but it only take a minute to scoop them out. The other morning the wiggler had stopped, but I think it was because some leaves got caught up in the wheels. I cleaned the leaves out of the birdbath, gave the wheels a little push and it has been going fine.I ordered one for my front yard birdbath and will set it out as soon as I get the batteries. My backyard neighbor was over last evening and was impressed with it, so I sent her the link so she can order one.I like the ceramic top because it looks classier, but also because I think the extra weight will keep it more stable. We've had 2 nights back to back of strong storms and the water wiggler did not tip over. That may be in part because it is in a semi-sheltered spot, but I also think it is a good design which helps keep it stable and the weight helps.I am glad I ordered both of them!

Great success so far! The birds seem to really like the moving water and I like knowing that I am not breading mosquitoes. I have witnessed birds drinking and also taking little baths. It's easy to set-up and quiet. I only wish the product had an "off" switch I could use (it doesn't) while changing the water. I bought the ceramic top version because I thought the top screw looked a bit unattractive on the unit. The ceramic top has an added bonus because it makes the unit heavier (won't blow in the wind, etc.) I use mine in a deck mounted (heated in the winter) birdbath. Therefore, sometimes the birdbath tilts slightly to one side. The water wiggler seems to stay put. I am happy to learn that I will be able to use in when I plug my (heated) birdbath in for the winter. My birdbath seems to be the perfect depth, but the water wiggler directions state that the bath can't be too deep (to submerge the little moter). If so, you will need to prop the unit up on something (I hear a ceramic tray turned over from a pot works well). However, without going too deep, the unit seems to produce the most rippling effect in the water if the water is as deep as possible. The manufacturer states that the two "D" batteries are supposed to last two months before changing. I cannot comment on that since I have only had mine for a month (and so far, it's going strong without any problems!). Since I bought the water wiggler, I have recommended it to several other people.

Really love my wiggler -- no mosquitos, looks nice, works great!
I received my Water Wiggler and set it up in early May and the first set of batteries lasted almost to the end of July. I use it in a large (26") ground level birdbath. It has kept mosquitos from laying eggs in the water and the gentle ripples attract birds. Some birds also perch on the top of the wiggler as they enter/leave the birdbath. Totally silent operation. My birdbath is under trees, so sometimes a leaf or other debris will get caught in the wiggler, but just have to dislodge and it starts spinning again. I sort of balked at the price but now think it's well worth it, and I'm glad I got the one with the pottery cover as it looks really nice. At first I tried mosquito dunks, but as they crumbled and fell apart, they looked bad and also made it more of a pain to clean the birdbath (which I empty and clean several times a week). The wiggler is a much more elegant solution.

I love it but...
This is a great product. Birds love the rippling water and it's serene to look at in my garden. I think I have had this about 3 months now. The batteries really do last about 2 months. The only negative I have thus far is, the wiggler has recently just stopped wiggling. Twice now, I take it apart and take batteries out and put back in and manually flick the wiggler wire...and with a little persistance it will start working again. Not sure why it does this, but maybe the mechanism freezes up because it gets condensation from the water? I even sprayed WD40 into the hole where the wire attached to displace any moisture. Anyway, so there is that. I can make it work again so that is a plus. I will consider buying another for my other fountain after I see if this one will hold up down the road.UPDATE: Over a year later and this is still going strong. I have used another set (extras are included) of the rubber wheels as the others got kind of corroded, but this wiggler still looks great and functions great! It's gone a long time without "freezing up" like I had mentioned above.I highly recommend this purchase!

Pretty good considering the options
Owned this product just under two years before it finally died out for the last time. As others have mentioned it occasionally dies out and has to be fussed with to get it going again. Batteries last a few months per use. When its working it works great. Just enough vibration to keep the water moving without disturbing the wildlife. The real pitfall fall is the added ceramic top piece. Its very pretty and an extra $10 compared to models without but …. It only rests on top of the device so if it gets knocked over and breaks (which ours did) its lifespan is short lived. I guess it really cant be attached without losing the ability to open up the piece to replace batteries. With the rest of the device being hard plastic I would think they would just make an attractive cover and leave it at that. Will purchase again but not going the extra ten for the ceramic this time.

Birds like it
I bought this about a month and a half ago. It was easy to put together, and place in my new birdbath. What I like about it is that it does what it is supposed to do--It gently moves the water without any water spilling out. I like that it is silent, and that I don't have to wait for the sun to come out for it to work or worry about constantly needing to replace the batteries. So far, no complaints at all--from me or the birds in the backyard! I thought it would look better with the ceramic cover, and it does, but I do wish that a brown or green version had been available, since my birdbath is green.
