Hammond Manufacturing 1591DTCL 1591D Clear Polycarbonate

I've purchased two of these so far for synth/music projects. In the box shown, I've put some white LEDs between Arduino clones and a header PCB to create a backlit effect. Lot's of fun and showcases the guts of your project. The boxes are extremely well made, drill clean and easy from any side, and I've had no issues with cracking whatsoever. Lid fits well and included hardware is solid. You do need to allow some space for the corner internal screw taps. Great product overall!

These are excellent quality project enclosures. I have used quite a few of these Hammond polycarbonate boxes in the past in a number of sizes and never had any problems.They are a little more expensive than traditional project boxes but far greater quality. The polycarbonate offers better protection than cheap plastic and they are far more visually appealing in many cases.Every one I have ordered has been exactly to spec with good packaging to protect the box from scratches. The lids fit very well, nothing has ever been bent or warped. The hardware is also very high quality.They're so nice that I still feel terrible drilling these to mount parts every single time.This one in particular was the perfect size to mount to an ATX supply I had and house a display and some 5-way binding posts to make a benchtop low voltage power supply.
