Now you can join the adventure! Featuring light and sound effects, this replica of the Twelfth Doctor’s TARDIS also has opening doors and can carry 5.5″ Doctor Who action figures. Almost Very Nearly Quite Amazing
I am not an owner of any previous Flight Control TARDIS, which marks this as my first experience with the collectible toy. That said, I'm quite pleased with the product.Below is a detailed review of my personal product written after much careful inspection on the day it arrived, and a brief summary at the end._____________>>>Pros:Removing it from the packaging, I was at first impressed with it's size---it dwarfs my TARDIS USB Hub easily by three times. Should be perfect for those looking to have this accompany their Who figures. After taking in the size, I was equally impressed with the level of detail. As noted by another reviewer the wood grain emulation on the plastic fascia is remarkable-----as are the overall details such as the light housing up top. The color (while somewhat dark in low level lighting) is very close to that seen on the television screen. The general proportions appear quite flawless to the natural eye. It is sturdy, well weighted (fairly heavy actually), and sits surprisingly flat considering there is both an ON/OFF switch and outset pressure button under the base. The doors both open inwards (which is cool) to reveal the TARDIS interior backdrop, and the "Pull to Open" door does open to reveal a phone. The only stickering on the unit is the Police Box signage and the "Pull to Open" door sign. The window panes and St John's Emblem appear to be transferred or painted on in white. All look very nice. The features of this TARDIS center mostly on the audio interactivity. The variety of sounds are more than expected, are instantly recognizable, and are not only consistent with---but are great fun---with the physical actions needed to activate them. The manual-spinning-action feature is very cool, though for the weight and size of this unit... I can see some of these getting dropped on accident. I'm absolutely thrilled with this toy._____________>>>Cons:These are actually few, and consist mostly for those of us out here like myself who are nit-picky, or general TARDIS enthusiasts. The first thing I noticed were the window errors. There should be white (or at least lighter!) color in the beveled parts of the window glass. There are not white or lighter colors there; while well detailed where the glass is beveled, it's entirely black. This flows right into the next: the only portion that lights is the top lantern. I may have been more forgiving of the all black window glass had the windows actually lit up with the top light. Likewise, there is absolutely no illumination of the "pull to open" door sign, any of the upper Police Box signage, nor the interior. Part of the excitement of the new doctor's TARDIS is most certainly in the newly illuminated sections, and I direly wish this had these. I would have gladly paid more to have a unit that did this and this review would have been instantly given 5 stars. On my unit the left door will not hold itself open no matter how gently I open it. Likewise, the small "Pull to Open" door is very difficult to open. Both full-sized doors feel somewhat flimsy compared to the sturdiness of all else. I feel like I'm in jeopardy of damaging the whole left door when attempting to open the difficult small door to reveal the telephone. In a perfect world I'd have liked to have seen the "Pull to Open" signage not just a sticker. The manufacturer was great enough to raise the St. John's emblem area... the extra mile on the other signage would have pushed this rating over the top for me. As well, this sticker was both dented, off-center and appears to have somewhat lifted corners. I think this is a common problem with any stickers on plastic, as my TARDIS USB hub had the exact same issue. The interior backdrop seems like more effort could have gone into it. Merely it's piece of cardboard stuffed, creased, and adheres into the back three walls that depicts a not very interesting portion of the new TARDIS interior. Had it been somewhat rounded instead of creased, the effect may have been grander. Double that if the shot they'd chosen wasn't of such an obscure angle. We see a staircase, and if you open the right side door all the way and tilt the unit and your head, you just ~might~ barely see a glimps of the very end of the new console. But alas, I bought this to see the exterior on a regular, not the inside!_____________>>>SUMMARY:This specific recreation of the 11th Doctor's TARDIS is outstanding overall. I would recommend this to children of all ages 5+, Doctor Who fans both young and old, collectors, and anyone who considers themselves a enthusiast of the TARDIS. While there are some general aesthetic flaws, the pros certainly outweigh my very nit-picky cons. Kids will adore this as a play toy and adults like myself will recall the joys of the iconic blue police box... even in it's newly regenerated glory. Well worth the price, and will certainly deliver on the fun! ;)

Beautiful TARDIS with awesome light and sound effects and excellent detail. A must have for all Whovians.
I own a lot of TARDIS toys but this one is my favorite by far! It has the coolest sound effects and lights and is so much fun to play with. I ordered the 10th and 11th doctors 5" figurines with it; so far I only got 10 and I took some photos and made a video with him and the TARDIS for you guys to see it in action. It really is a fun toy. I've only had it for one day and have not let my five year old touch it yet but I will report back in a few months to update you on its condition. If you are looking for an actual flying TARDIS (this one does not literally fly), there is one on Amazon that flies but it is more expensive, much smaller, and does not have the light and sound effects that this one has. For all of those reasons, I decided to go with this one instead. I highly recommend this awesome TARDIS whether you intend to reenact doctor who episodes or even just put it on your shelf of who stuff for decoration. It is beautiful and awesome. I love the details on it - like it has the phone panel that opens up and has a little phone inside. That is such an adorable little added touch. Overall, I am completely satisfied and you cannot go wrong with the price. Heck the figurines cost more than the TARDIS. I couldn't even afford all the figurines I wanted. This TARDIS has passed all of my tests as a collector of Doctor Who toys. We will find out if it passes the final test... the test of time. :)See my photos of the TARDIS with the 10th doctor figurine - Doctor Who The Tenth Doctor 5" Action Figure 2005-2010: Blue Suit W/Glasses & Red Plimsoles . Good size TARDIS with nice details
A TARDIS is a staple for any doctor who fan and I chose this one because of the size and extra features. It makes different noises depending on whether you spin it, shake it up and down, etc. The inside is a piece of card stock with a design of the TARDIS, but it looks cool and for the price you can't beat it. The doors open into the TARDIS and are easy to close. It also features the phone which was a nice touch. The outside of the TARDIS looks great and has a nice Woodgrain look to it. On the inside, on the floor there is a raised brick which you press down to close one of the doors, that way you don't have to jam your hand trying to close both doors. Unfortunately, it is not bigger on the inside nor does it travel through time and space but it does make for a nice decorative piece.

Fantastic toy with great fun potential
My daughter LOVES this TARDIS, and has ever since it arrived. It has lots of lights and sound effects and she carries it around everywhere. There's two minor issues,.not even enough to affect the score but enough to mention in the hopes that someone reads them for another version of the product.1) The door to the TARDIS closes with a hidden switch built into the wall (super cool by the way);. However, it's really tough and little fingers find it difficult to push. This is made especially frustrating for them because they often lift it up to try the door with their thumb, but lifting it triggers the sound effects and ruins whatever narrative they were attempting to weave. A more sensitive button with fix that.2) To engage one of the sound effects you have to spin the TARDIS on your fingertip like a Globetrotter. The instructions tell you to hold the light in your other hand as you twirl, but the light doesn't rotate. You end up awkwardly, carefully twisting the light, trying not to drop the thing. If the light was surrounded by a spinning cap or cage that could be gripped while you spin the TARDIS it would be much easier to use.The volume on this toy is great btw, I didn't even have to tape over the speaker.

whoosh, whoosh....
This is great. Sturdy plastic Tardis. Probably not good for children under 7, though, the doors need to be treated with respect! Fab noises and my son loves it. Although it doesn't light up inside (as I have read, previous ones have had this feature), it's still a great little Item and my boy doesn't know abou them anyhow! He doesn't compare, he just loves Matt Smith and Amy Pond! The 5" figures fit inside too! I Would recommend x

Great item, but not very robust, so breaks easily.
My kids love this, although it is very delicate and can break easily (my son broke in first day, with the doors and sound not working, but he also worked out how to fix it by closing the door a certain way!!).So its a great item, but not very robust.
