Perfect gaming headset -- for some specific reasons
This is the best gaming headset I've tried, and I've tried a bunch. Here's why:First, the price. It's darned good, and the value is tremendous. I tried a set of more-expensive Sennheisers, for example, and they were broken out of the box (something several buyers experienced).Second, sound quality is excellent, especially considering they're primarily for gaming, not music -- the voices of your teammates/guildmates are most important, and vocal clarity is superb. And while I'm sure there are high-end headphones that will do a better job with music, these are pretty darned good for that, too.Microphone quality is also terrific. I had friends compare how I sounded with this, my wife's El Cheapo headset, the mic on my webcam, and a standalone (Logitech) mic. Verdict: This was tied with the standalone mic for quality. "You sound great," they said. And that wasn't just because of my sexy voice. Then there's comfort. These have it. Unlike most headsets, this one has an adjustable head strap, and the silicone lining is soft without being sticky. They'll take a little breaking in to get just the right fit, but the important thing is they can GET that fit. Nice job, Logitech. The ear pieces are comfortable foam, not plastic, so sweating isn't an issue.Oh, and there's one HUGE advantage to these: They sit ON your ears, not over them.See, if you're just listening to music you want to shut out all the other sounds; earbuds or full-cover ear pieces make sense. But when you're gaming and using a microphone, you WANT to be able to hear your own voice -- otherwise it's very strange to talk. (Stick your fingers in your ears and speak. You'll understand. It's weird.) Logitech gets that, so by resting on your ears they allow you to hear ambient sounds (e.g., your own voice) while still delivering crystal-clear audio. That makes a TREMENDOUS difference for gaming. Finally, the headset comes with both 3.5-mm mic/headphone jacks AND a USB adapter. So whichever you prefer -- plugging into your PC's audio jacks or just using a USB port -- you're set. (Most other headsets are either one or the other.)All this, plus a nice, long cord and easy-to-reach volume control and mute switch make this (especially at this price) the set you oughta get. I'm sure glad I found it after a LOT of searching.(Edited to fix some embarrassing typos.)

Nice headset for all around gaming, and more...if it "sticks" in one piece
EDIT: had to remove a star - after exactly 366 days (yes, one day after warranty expired), the headset fall apart, breaking in half on the rear left side...it is still working, and I might end up epoxy-gluing it back together to a clean connection. I do feel disappointed though, as those were definitely not abused in any way...Pros* Good build quality for the price <- felt good, till in broke...* Good sound quality for both input and output* Comfortable to wear even with glasses* Included separate 3.5mm mic/headphone jacks and USB-to-3.5mm Adapter* Good quality, long silicon cable with remote volume and mic on/off switch* Decently "fold-able" to carry in a backpack etc without worrying.Cons* Remote positioning* Large 3.5mm jacks* It's not dirt cheapThis is a simple yet effective headset for general gaming including voice coms and/or voice-video calls through Skype, MSN etc.The sound quality of the headphones and the microphone alike is decent. I casually use them for gaming and skype calls without any issues. The headset is light and comfortable to use, even wearing glasses. It's not cheap, but most of the cheaper competitors I've tried in the past were cheaply to terribly cheaply made, and usually don't last long (breaking I half, foam inserts degrade fast even with the slightest trace of sweat etc). With the included USB-to-3.5mm adapter, this unit offers good value for $33 or so.The headphone drivers are not very loud. At least nothing like the experience you get with good quality full size headphones or noise-isolation ear-buds, but I find them enough for my needs (I just have to crank the volume higher).I haven't used the USB adapter yet, so I cannot comment on the quality issues people are reporting. Since my PCs do have 3.5mm jacks, I use them directly. As I mostly use the headset on my laptops, I find the length of the cable provided a bit on the long side, just like it's the distance between the unit and it's remote: at more than 60cm (2FT), the remote almost sits on your lap than say, resting around your chest when you are wearing the headset, and you have to "hunt" for it more than you should. The 3.5mm jacks are also a bit on the big side (5cm/2in long), meaning those could get in the way when your audio plugs are in the mouse side of your laptop etc. The cable has a Velcro strap for you to tidy up your workspace and carry it around without it getting tangled.Have been using it for 9 months now, often carrying it around in my backpack and it still looks and works as brand new.

Good sound quality, fantastic microphone quality. Definitely recommended!
I'll start off by saying I've previously owned this headset for about 5 years prior to my recent purchase. It served me well and functioned great. One initial problem I had was a wire in the 3.5mm to USB adapter had been pulled a little too much I guess and it became detached from a solder point inside the adapter. It is a very well sealed unit so I had to perform invasive surgery to crack open the adapter and solder the wire back on. It functioned as it always did ever since until it eventually died the other week.I am a little disappointed I needed to spend $130 for the headset. I understand it's a discontinued item and no longer in production, but it retailed for $70 when I bought it all those years ago. I don't see why it needs to cost this much now. Nonetheless, I didn't want to settle with another headset with the same behind-the-head style as they didn't seem as good as this one.The audio quality is as you would expect from a headset of this type. I wouldn't count on amazing quality for gaming. I personally use it for TeamSpeak and have my voice audio playback through the headset and game audio playback through my desktop speakers. The audio output from the headset for this purpose is more than enough. The microphone quality, well, it's amazing. I never realized how great it was until I actually recorded myself one time and listened to it. If you want are looking for a headset that matches these characteristics then this one is for you.My first purchase of this headset from Amazon landed me with a headset with a faulty volume adjustment wheel. As the volume was adjusted, the audio would cut out on the right side of the headset and it was difficult to get it to cut back in. I played around with it to see if it was just a fluke or is it was a persistent issue. The problem was very persistent so I decided to return it and purchase another one. That second one arrived today and it works flawlessly. The package was severely damaged on the bottom as if someone very forcefully and carelessly tore it open. The headset seemed untouched and had no damage and worked fine so I didn't really see it as a problem.

Best present for a gaming brother!
Bought this as a birthday present for my brother who lives to play games. He was really happy as they were flexible, sturdy, and just great! He commented with other remarks but, as a non-gamer, I couldn't understand it. It was also much cheaper than other gaming headsets, which is what attracted me into purchasing it.All in all, great purchase!

Logitech G330 Gaming Headset
Speaking with others who owned this brand and reading all the reviews about these headphones, I figured & hoped I was getting a pretty good pair, but, unfortunately they are not comfortable on the ear, and keep sliding and falling off, and not meant for long periods of wear, hard when talking to family living elsewhere. I'm sorry to say, but, my expectations have not been met.
