Nice latch for my gate
My old gate latch broke. This one is very sturdy and leaves me confident the gate is closed. It was easy to install.

Replaces the one on my vinyl gate perfectly.it's the same make and model.ProsWell builtPriced wellHeavy duty.ConsThe latch striker plate will rub on that little bent tab that keeps the latch from coming apart if your gate adjustment gap is tight and there is no way to fix that unless you can increase the gap from latch to striker. I can't so It rubs. Probably more a fence/gate installer issue. But if the designed offset on the latch itself from the post with it's mounting could be shorter, which would improve this.

I like it..A few supply issues
So I ended up going through 3 of these. The first one arrived completely bent. That one went back to Amazon. The second one arrived in perfect condition, but was slightly different in shape. But this wasn't a bad thing. The second one had the back(the side that normally gets pressed down) squared off. This means that one would be able to unbolt the handle, turn around, and then move the spring to effectively go back and forth between a right and left swing configuration. All without having the handle upside downI then had another gate to put up, and I wanted it to swing left. So I ordered a 3rd one, expecting it to match the 2nd. But it didn't, it matched the first(the one which originally arrived bent). In other words, unlike the 2nd, it wasn't reversible(without having the handle upside down). We used on our wooden fence, just had to get different screws, but it works great. Huge upgrade to what we had before, even our neighbor noticed!
