"Saved me a fortune" I wasn't sure if my head gasket had gone after my coolent reservoir was empty on my van and heaters were blowing cold air. I called a local garage and they gave me a quote for an inspection which I could not afford. Then I saw this. Arrived in good time. I followed the instructions and turns out my head gasket is fine after all. This kit has everything you need for up to 50 tests. Value for money is excellent and the quality of the parts is really good. Functionality is spot on as it's a very easy to use kit. Highly recommend product.

I'm sure no one wants to have to buy a head gasket testing kit, but sometimes necessity demands it. I brought this kit to test the head gasket of my Rover 45, with a 1.4 k series engine, renowned for head gasket failure. I had seen some symptoms of gasket failure, so brought this kit to be sure before taking to a garage. The kit contains instructions for use, which are easy enough to understand, but a little vague in some areas. We were left wondering if we were doing the right thing at some stages. The rubber bung looks like it would fit a wide variety of expansion tanks, as it has a fairly significant taper. There is enough liquid for probably 30 tests. The liquid is supposed to turn green, or yellow after about 5 minutes if exhaust gases are present in the coolant system. Sure enough, after about 5 minutes then liquid turned very slightly green. The colour change was so slight that we were still not 100% confident. But the garage confirmed that even a slight change is a smoking gun. After taking it to the garage, they confirmed that the head gasket was blown. So this test is definitely accurate. Just not to be used as the sole test, just as a guidance. The kit is good quality, and does what it says, so functional.

I don't wanna say it doesn't work at all but it didn't work for me, but I can see reviews on YouTube where it has worked for people. Doesn't fit snug it seems for me meaning it doesn't stay confained, so may need an adapter?

Excellent kit which comes with clear instructions and is very easy to use. The first test i carried out was on a recently acquired Audi which I suspected had a head/headgasket issue and the test came back positive (the liquid turned from blue to green within a minute or two). The diagnosis was later confirmed by a trusted garage who carried out their own test and found exhaust gasses in the coolant. The second test i carried out was on a SEAT which has been suffering from coolant loss for at least a year or so. As I'd already bought the test kit for the Audi i thought I would give it a go with this car too. Again the test came back positive (liquid turned blue to yellow very quickly). This diagnosis was also later confirmed by a garage who found the EGR cooler had failed. I also tested our other vehicles and thankfully in those cases the tests all came back negative. In summary a really useful kit, very easy to use and in my experience 100% accurate.

It was very easy to set up and use. It saves a lot of time, effort and costs. It would take you time to book in to see a mechanic, effort and time to get to said mechanic and then the added cost of his time and expertise. This simple but effective product saves all of this. The a only thing I didn't like were the instructions were really in a small font which made the extremely difficult to read without magnification. Apart from that small inconvenience, i would highly recommend this.

Tester validissimo

Fiat ducato 130 multijet. Volledig koelsysteem afgetapt ivm. radiateur vernieuwen .Na het weer vullen teruglopend niveau in het reservoir waargenomen eneen paar x bij moeten vullen.Besloten om het zekere voor het onzekere te nemen en dit setje besteld om een evt. lekke koppakking uit te sluiten.De egr had ik tevoren al compleet fysiek en softwarematig verwijdererd en de koelslangen doorverbonden. Eerst motor op bedrijfstemperatuur laten komen en de u-buis met vloeistof op het reservoir gedrukt, ook overloopslangetje afgeknepen. Ca. 5 minuten laten lopen met wisselend toerental. Vloeistof bubbelde maar bleef zelfde tint blauw.. Zucht.. Hierna van boven zachtjes ingeademd en de vloeistof werd vrijwel onmiddelijk geel/groenacgtig.

Der ELD Zylinderkopf Dichtung Tester ist wirklich praktisch und einfach zu bedienen. Ich konnte schnell prüfen, ob die Zylinderkopfdichtung in Ordnung ist. Das Gerät wirkt robust und ist für Autos und Motorräder universell einsetzbar. Die Handhabung ist unkompliziert, und die Tests liefern klare Ergebnisse. Auch die Tatsache, dass man bis zu 50 Tests durchführen kann, macht den Tester besonders wirtschaftlich und zuverlässig. Fazit: Ein toller Tester, der genau das tut, was er soll. Absolute Empfehlung, wenn man die Zylinderkopfdichtung selbst prüfen möchte.

The bottle had lost 10-15% of its contents during before it arrived and the liquid was not blue anymore. Color was dirty and almost looked like the liquid had reacted allready. Price was cheaper than many other products, but I reccoment spending that little extra for a better quality kit
