Plastic is thinner than the one I received a couple of years ago.
This jug’s plastic is thinner and not as blue in color as my last one. Why do companies cheapen the quality of items these days? Buyers do notice changes that a manufacturer makes and it does affect who they buy from again in the future.

Long Lasting
This is the 2nd bottle I purchased. The last one lasted 4 years. Great bottle to bring to work.

OK with manufacturing problems
After reading the reviews, I was reluctant to order the Bluewave Water Jug. However, my son really likes the handle (jug) and there are few from which to choose -- even from Amazon. The jug is obviously molded in two pieces and joined. This causes problems around the screw on area (can be shaved off, per other review) -- and is liable to leaks (though mine does not seem to have any). I also had problems with the top -- I had to use pliers on it to open it and it does not open and close easily. Less excuse for this than the other. The basic design (having a handle) causes manufacturing problems -- cannot be lathed and limits the molding processes. The jug seems to be alright -- no leaks. Will need to use for a while to determine whether the top allows sufficiently easy drinking to make it useful. The jug is labeled "BPA Free" on the bottom. However, looking through Web articles, it does say that Plastic number 7 is "miscellaneous" which means it can be made any way they want. I believe them that it is BPA Free (too easy to test and enter the courts) but, as other articles have said, "who knows what they might have in the plastic?" My personal viewpoint is that if it imparts no taste and emits no odor it must be reasonably stable (non-leaching).Still, I would suggest (and will use it for such myself) only using it for cold water (no acidic or hot drinks) to minimize the possibility of any problems. If you (for whatever reason) really want a jug (bottle with handle) then this is probably the best you can get. If you don't want/"need" a handle, get something else.

Great Bottles Despits Some Design Flaws!
I bought seven of these and have been using them for a few months. I refill them every Saturday with purified water and I drink one per day throughout the week, giving me the "8 glasses of water per day" I need. I love these things! For years I drank bottled water, and had to drag home bottles of water ever week from the super market, but now I use these! One thing is worth mentioning...The caps are twist-off, but have pull-out squirters built in. Unfortunately, this feature is worthless. It is nearly impossible to use the squirt feature because pliers are necessary in order to get the darned stubborn squirt tops to pop out. I can bench press 200lbs and I can't get the squirt top open with my bare hands. I just ignore this feature and twist the entire top off when I want to drink.Luckily, I am un-phased by this design flaw, but its worth mentioning. I'm about to buy two more of these bottles because sometimes I drink more than 7 per week!

Bottle worth the price for me
I have used the bottle for a little more than a month now, and it is what I expected. I make sure I have at least 64 ounces of water a day, this is easy to fill with the water spout on the refrigerator (for filtered water), and easy to lift and use. I do not use the blue spout lid except as a lid. I do not drink from the blue pull top thing. My choice. I just like drinking it out of a larger opening.Since I use filtered water, I never notice an off-taste to the water, and sometimes it takes me 8 hours to go through all 64 ounces and I never notice a difference in taste.I am pleased with the bottle.

Inconsistent quality but I keep buying them
I've bought several of these over the years and mostly I'm sufficiently satisfied to keep buying more. Yes, they break if you drop them -- especially if they are full of water. But I get at least a year out of a bottle before I break it. But I haven't experienced them leaking, but I mostly leave them standing upright. My complaint is the last bottle had a horrible, ill-fitting cap. This is not typical and things happen, so maybe this was just one of those anomalies. I can manage to get the lid on and off, but it is always a struggle. Despite this, I am buying another bottle now, but if the lid is bad on that, you'll hear from me again. And so will they!

Can't sip in silence
After my amazing 74 oz water bottle (different brand) had cracked and I could not find it online to replace it, I settled on this one based on its comparable size and the reviews. There was a shipping delay for some reason so when it arrived,, I opened and filled it with anticipation only to find that I don't much like the way the water passes through the sport top. This wasn't even something I would have considered not liking but it creates a lot of bubbles and noise. I use this bottle at work to try to increase water consumption (try to kill one bottle a shift), and share an office space with four other people. Someone even commented on how loud it was. It's not a huge deal, but definitely noticeable. Overall, the product is "fine," but I think I will spend more time online trying to find my old brand of bottle so that I can go back to being a water sipping ninja.**UPDATE**After a few months of use, the sport top has weakened and will close while I'm drinking out of it. This especially happens after I've just filled it. I still like the large capacity, but it is a more engaged effort to drink out of it. I know, i know... first world problems. But I wouldn't buy this brand again unless the sport top was redesigned.

Half a days water!
I really like this water bottle. I've had an issue with water bottles causing the water to taste like plastic after a few hours, but this bottle takes a long time for that taste to develop and it's really mild. I do wish it had a larger opening. It's a pain to put ice into it because you can only do one cube at a time and it's hard to wash. The price was a little high for a thin plastic bottle too; so the values not the greatest. I would buy it again though because it holds so much water and the shape makes it easy to drink from.

Decent product
It holds plenty of liquid but the material isn’t thick plastic. I’m scared that if I drop it, it will crack immediately

The only thing that I don't like about this product is that sport drinking cup
The only thing that I don't like about this product is that sport drinking cup. Rest is perfect quality and good value

Great and big bottle
Great and big bottle. Very solid. People were complaining about the cap but instead of taking it off I just unscrew the main cap and it's fine, no leaking.

Top annoying and leaks.
The top is annoying, a basic one would be better. The bottle leaked in the car. This doesn't happen with the gallon bottle. Otherwise it's fine.
