Q: Will these strings affect the nut of my bass? The highest gauge I've used for an E is. 106

They shouldn't. I use them on a P bass switching between 45-105 rounds to these 50-110 flats and have never had an issue. If anything the increased tension could use a slight truss rod adjustment as the increased bow will raise the action, but not required.

These strings fit a 34" scale bass well. I cannot say how they will fit your bass, but I can say that I needed all of the high string (G) to tension properly on a 34" scale Fender Jazz bass. The others can be shorter (due to the inline machine heads) and I cut a bit off the E, A, and D strings. In terms of fitting at the nut you may need to have the nut slots enlarged, depending on how tight they are at present. I would tend to look at a 45-105 Rotosound set if you do not intend to tune down, unless you specifically want higher string tension. You might need to adjust the truss rod to compensate. If you go up in gauge or change your tuning I would recommend taking your bass to a tech to have it set up properly. Actually I would recommend this in any case.
