Hitec RCD 44178 Universal Balancing Adapter

The most compact balance adapter ever with all the connectors you will need
The best adapter for all the balance connector's I have ever seen.I bought a Graupner Polaron Pro charger which came with 2 balance boards (1 for each charging channel), yet did not have all the balance connectors you could ever need. I have a few Thunder Power type balance connectors in 2s and 3s and this board gives me the confidence that I can get any LiPO battery in the future and have it balanced by by Graupner charger with this adapter board.

Not for Small 2S LiPo Batteries
I bought this because Hitec customer service said it had a socket for charging the little 2S LiPo batteries that come with my small planes. But it doesn't have that socket so I'm still stuck with using the cheap chargers that come with those planes, and have no idea how charged or discharged the batteries are.

Works
Works great as a replacement for the small balance board that came with my dual charger. If I had it to do over again I would just buy the appropriate balance leads and not have to use a board since my lipos all have the same connection, I would just need a 2S and a 3S lead. I didn't know they existed.

works fine (maybe 30 LiPo and LiFe battery packs charged and ...
I purchased two of these to use with my HiTec X4 charger; the older model. The board, while pricey, works fine (maybe 30 LiPo and LiFe battery packs charged and balanced). However, there is one major point that can hold you up.The cable is far from good. In my humble opinion, it's barely adequate. The wires are stiff, and I was afraid that they would eventually break due to bending stress. I solved the problem by gooping (technical term) both plugs where the wire emerges with Liquid Electrical Tape that I purchased here at Amazon. http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B000FPAN2K/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o09_s01?ie=UTF8&psc=1 One problem solved! The second problem also concerned connecting the cable. If you look at the picture, all of the wires are red with the exception of a single black wire. On my Hitec X4, I connected the black wire to the negative pin of the output plug on the side of the charger. It's DC, black is negative...right? WRONG! The black wire MUST connect to the highest number cell (in my case, "6") of your charger's balance plug! If you don't, at least on the Hitec, you'll get an error that reads, "Voltage connect error..."Once I flipped it around (The Internet can be a wonderful thing!), it works fine. Perhaps I'm just a bit slow, but that was a new one for me.Hope this helps!Leonard

Excellent Unit
I use this balancing board with my HiTec RDX1 charger. It enables one to charge many different LI-Po batteries with different plugs. I recommend it.

Exactly what was needed!
Purchased this because the HiTec RCD X2 AC Plus dual charger that I purchased ships with just one (and I needed two). This adapter works as intended for my needs plus this is the the exact same adapter that was included with with my new charger.

Works good , expensive charger's should come with 2 of these instead of a "small adapter " that doesn't have all the different balancing taps

Five Stars
I Cannot imagine why this is not included with the hitec charger.
