I purchased these and received them around 14 months ago. I have used them every day, 365 days of the year. I even take them on vacation with me. Not only are they awesome with thick shakes and my daily smoothies, they have retained their original color, even though I scrub them with a wire scour pad sometimes. They still look brand new. They are so easy to clean out the inside. I never noticed any metal taste (which was one of my fears with purchasing these, besides having toxic paint). They are awesome and I am purchasing more (because someone ran off with a couple of mine....can't say I don't blame them!). You won't be disappointed! Great product!

Excellent straws. I wanted to cut down on plastic waste and thought these would be a great alternative. They are! They're long with no sharp edges, brightly colored and come with a brush to clean their insides. They make sipping thick drinks easy and cold. I have only washed mine by hand so they still look new. Great looking with my jewel colored metal tumblers. I will probably get another set at some point.

The metal is good quality, and it makes drinks seem colder. The only downside is that after a few washings, the color has muted and rubbed off significantly. I actually forgot that they are supposed to be shiny until I saw the picture again. They still work just fine, they just don't look very good.

I understand that these are not dishwasher safe, but some one in my office threw on in there and the dye just ran all over the place. The straw is almost completely silver now but still drips blue now and then. I know it wasn't supposed to go in the dishwasher, but I'm very concerned about these sitting in my beverages all day with that dye :/

I like them, but I don't love them. I think I'm just not used to the metal texture in my mouth. It's just different. They are big and can handle thick smoothies.The purple one got washed in my dishwasher at work and the red one got washed at home. At work we use Cascade Ultimate Automatic Dish Packets and the Cascade Rinse Aid. At home we used Amway automatic dish detergent (no longer available). The finish did not agree with Cascade. The purple one now feels kind of rough. Probably should just stick with hand washing with included brush.

I love the straws they work great, but I sent them through the dishwasher and now the color is fading/ rubbing off. They were bright and shiny, now they are dull and dingy.

Very nice straws. If I'm going to be cheap enough to wash and reuse my plastic straws they might as well be of more durable better quality material. They are a nice width and clean easily. You can get some idea of how clean they are even if they are opaque by looking through the end in front of a light source. It is also a good idea to rinse them out before what you were drinking dries on. The brush included helps if you are going to be really fastidious.

These are way cool. Figuratively, they are large and sturdy and easy to clean. Literally, they get cold (or hot!) as you sip, keeping every bit chilled. The straw is reusable and easy to clean too.
