Q: Do these have the round hole that sits on a post or the stupid slit?

These have a slip which I have never had a problem with. I love these rollers. They get very hot within 5 minutes. I never use the clips that come with it nor do I use the side "heater". People complain about the clips on this set. They don't work well, it's true. I went to Sally 's and bought different clips. Great!

Q: Some confusion over which clips come with this unit. So, can I purchase wire clips to use on this model?

The clips are useless. They don’t hold the curlers tight enough to stay in. I had some covers from a set of regular curlers and they snap on and hold fine. I also bought some of the pin type but they are hard to use. I love the flocked curlers but the clips are a bummer..

The light is not change for me neither, but if wait one or max 2 minutes without open the box, I think is enough hot for start. I have very long and straight hair and its working perfectly for me ;)
