I use this as a nighttime heat spot for my gecko and it works great! However, I have it connected to a temperature reader to control the temperature better since that’s safer. You do have to flatten the heat mat and stick pad, so have heavy books ready! Sticks pretty well!Edit:I've had it for almost a year now and it's still working incredibly. It's strange because I see reviews or it getting too hot or cold or not sticking, and I never had that issue. Some tips though:!!Make sure you have a temperature controller attached to this!! - heat mats are not meant to be just plugged in uncontrolled to produce heat. Buy a temp controller so you can heat it up/cool it down. JumpStart is one that I use and was recommend by Snake Discovery.As for stickiness, I'm not sure why it wouldn't stick. When you first apply it, have the tank upside down and maybe place a heavy object (like a book) on it to ensure sticking and let it sit for a day. That's what I did and it had no issue.

Does it's job, I think. I only used it for about a week, but the first night it heated up the entire tank really well (too well actually). After that I believe it gave random intermittent heat. Sometimes it would be ice cold and my little lizard buddy would be under his heat lamp trying to stay warm instead of in his "warm" hide that had this under it. But other times it would warm everything up nicely. Not sure if it has an on/off automatic setting. But if it does, it's not optimal. It goes way too many hours before it turns on again. Maybe this isn't a feature and mine just had a short in it. But oh well. It works fine if you have a different primary heat source and you're not planning on having this as a major source of warm in the tank.

This product is great. It keeps the temperature and the humidity in my 10 gallon tank between 70-80 which is ideal for my two hermit crabs. Before I got this I struggled keeping my tank at the proper temps. I rarely seen my hermies. Now they are out often and I can tell they can breathe easier having this heat source. My only complaint is that it does not stay on side of tank well. It came completely off about a week after attachment. I just rubbed it back on with much force and it seems to be staying put ok. I do recommend this product especially for the price I can always add tape if needed.

Works perfect for my leopard gecko, she loves it and will definatley be buying from this brand again in the future! The only problem I seemed to notice was that the adhesive wasn't as tacky as I thought. Putting it on was fine, but when I placed my tank on my shelf, it seemed to start to come off. Pushed it back on a little firmer and haven't had a problem since! Might have just been a poor attempt to install on my end.

overall this was great and kept my gecko warm but it didn’t change the overall temperature it was only warm in one spot. and i made the mistake of putting it on wood so it spilt my desk😔 so don’t put it on wood!!!

This product isn’t great. It comes rolled up and is very difficult to flatten. I got this product because of the price which I should’ve guessed it wouldn’t work as well. I use a thermometer attached to my heat mat to regulate temp for my ball python and it just doesn’t heat up properly. It takes a very long time to heat up and it’s inconsistent. I use a temperature gun to check and certain spots will be up to temp around the middle of the heat mat but around the edges the temperature will be around 10 degrees colder than what it should be. I didn’t use the adhesion strip because I remove the heat mat when I disinfect the enclosure. overall not pleased and I will be finding another heat mat.

This heating pad works great for our leopard gecko, godzilla. I ordered this as a replacement for our zoomed pad that cracked and shorted out. This pad was cheaper and heats better than our old pad. I was worried as it was rolled up in the box but it flattened right out under his tank which is 10 gallon. I definitely would purchase again. My tiny dinosaur is very pleased.

I stuck this on the back of my tall frog terrarium. The width is about the same as the width of my terrarium. I needed a higher temperature in my tank but did not want to run both bulbs all the time. The heater runs all the time, it creates perfect temperature during the day with my day bulb and perfect temperature at night with my night bulb. The bottom of the tank is a little cooler so it does provide temperature variation for my tree frogs. I tracked the temperature to make sure it was good and did not need a temperature controller. Every house, tank, and terrarium needs are different so keep an eye on the temperature and adjust as needed.

The heating pad was bought for our hermit crabs and they've so far loved it for the 2 days they've had it. It's gotten them more active and it heats up the substrate quite well! Totally recommend!

This is perfect and the cost is so affordable! Thank you for a quality product to keep my babies warm :)

Came quick, but doesn't always like to stay stuck to the tank

Don’t bother wasting time with this product. It doesn’t come with an adhesive you have to apply one yourself and that’s very inconvenient as most tapes do not stick. It says not to curl it up yet it comes curled up in the box? The whole thing is a waste. Save your money and use it towards a reputable brand. The other ones I’ve bought in the past always came with a sticky side for easy peel and application. Thought I’d try and save some money but I actually wasted my money.
