Everyone should read!
What better person to learn from than someone who got out of the sin themselves! This will save a lot from depression and needing to be on medication for anxiety and other things that come with that lifestyle. Thereโs a reason that the good God we love warns about it. Answers so many questions. With homosexuality being shoved down kids throatโs these days, as a good thing to be embraced, this should be a book read by everyone

Lots of basic info; not in-depth
This had lots of good info, but it skims over a lot; it doesn't go in-depth to any one thing. If you want to get lots of very basic ideas, this is a great place to start, but if you want to go more in-depth, than you probably want to go elsewhere.

This has very good biblical references
This has very good biblical references, and answers probably most, if noy all, of d questions you may have about witnessing to friends and family who are homosexual. Please remember when you read it that this book is 10 years old at this point, and some research points may be a little out of date, but many of them still remain true, and the Bible refernces will never change. This has helped me know how to respond appropriately toward my friend who is openly out, and my sister who came out this year. I have been able to stay true to my beliefs without hurting them with the help of this book (and prayer, and Godly counsel, too, please make sure you have a Godly person to talk to!) I took off one star because it is a little older, but I would buy this book again, Ina heartbeat.

Mr. Haley is sincere, but misguided
The author does seem to be sincere in his advice. However, he's misguided in a couple of things. First, he seems to believe that homosexuality is a psychological disorder. He even quotes older editions of the DSM. But everyone knows that the APA made the decision in the 1970s to no longer list homosexuality as a psychological disorder. Also, I was really confused at the beginning of this book because he uses "gender identity" as a synonym for "sexual orientation". Furthermore, he believes that homosexuals suffer from GID (Gender Identity Disorder). Gender identity is 101% different from sexual orientation; not all homosexuals have GID, and not everyone with GID is homosexual. The research that Mr. Haley offers is, for the most part, outdated. I saw where some of his sources where from as early as the 1950s. Was there nothing more recent to back his claims? Some of his advice was just plain silly. Like when he was giving advice about how to prevent homosexuality in your sons, he basically says that little boys should shower with their dad! Umm, do I need to say anything further? However, he does not say that little girls should shower with their mothers. We call that a double standard.I also didn't like how he presented homosexuality. He made it look like the worst thing in the world. He also seems to think that all male homosexuals are feminine and all lesbians are butch. And he makes it sound like "the horrible gays are out to get us!"So, overall, I'm sorry I waisted my money on this book (I did read the sample first, but I was still curious). Although some parts were amusing. I gave this book 2 stars only because some parts amused me and Mr. Haley does seem sincere.

fair
The author is more generous than I would be to the APA and the phychological dilemma that is homosexuality. He examines questions that since the 1970's should have been in the purview of the APA, an organization that has relinquished its responsibility in this matter to the detriment of all involved and society as a whole. Unfortunately the gay agenda has filled the vacuum with political answers to questions that should have been thoroughly studied and resolved by scientists, real scientists. Still, the author's thoughts on the subject are worthy of consideration and would contribute to understanding of the subject...unless your mind has been closed by the convenient answers supplied by those who are telling you what you want to hear.

Real hope for Christians.
I was pleasantly surprised by finding true Christian answers for these hard questions. Plus knowing now, there is more material for Christians ,out there to help with the issues we are faced with today. Knowing of Mike Haleys own personal triumph with the grace of God, encourages those of us that have family and friends in this situation. I would encourage all who are struggling with these questions to read this book. It truly was a GOD send. Charlotte

More Informative Than I Imagined
This book is very informative in that it comes from the viewpoint of people who have been in this lifestyle for years. It is very inspiring in that it gives hope to those still in it and their families to never give up. This book did not change my mind regarding my beliefs about homosexuality but it did change my heart and my ideas of how I will respond to them. I believe this book is a must read for everyone!
