Looks great, runs super effecient, very easy to install and fast fast. I have this paired up with a 3930k and 32 GB of corsair vengeance 160 DDR3 ram. Runs cool.Very very good board! Over joyed with this one :)

Great mATX Board!
Typical of the x79 chipset, only 2 mobo ports capable of booting from on the SATA III interface, the rest is add-on chipset provided by ASMedia. The MOSFET heatsink backplate gets so extremely hot when the CPU is set to use more voltage and or overclocked that I had to put heatsinks on it to drastically increase it's surface area for dissipation, a thermal pad to connect with the case housing and a fan to keep things below 55c. So hot that it would instantly cause rosacea! Ditto for the CPU LGA 2011 backplate. The rest of the system is cool running, and it's always fairly cool once not overclocked, so keep that in mind. This board can easily hold 2x SLI or crossfire and still have a slot in the middle for a soundcard or something, but in that case you'll be doing a 16x/8x PCIE 3.0 for your SLI, which probably isn't bad unless you have very potent cards that might saturate the bus. That is also only possible if you use a case like the Corsair 350D because the graphics card when used in the very last slot for SLI will essentially overshoot the motherboard a bit. This is the setup I have so I see that possibility.I am running 32GB at 2333 MHz no problem (Quad-Channel) with 4.5GHZ 4930k 6 core, system is rock stable.I've yet to get the Audigy/Sound Blaster software to ever work with Windows 8 or 8.1 so far though, so I have no 5.1 audio from the onboard. I haven't been able to locate any safety cpu temperature shutdown on this board either. This board also does not have any Bluetooth built in like the bigger boards, but you can easily use a USB slot and a micro adapter for that. No Wi-Fi included either, so I am using an external USB one as well.Remember it's a small board, so you can't ask for a whale load of features from a pony. But it's quite fast and doesn't compromise any performance.BIOS has so many tweaker options that you won't ever need to touch. But do realise that this board is quite old at the time of this review and many of the newer features found on the haswell boards such as FanXpert 2 with curve-ramp speed up is simply not available without bios support. With haswell 8 core coming out soon, this board will shortly be superseeded by something new inevitably.

Support is getting worse and worse
I brought a new board on Dec 19 and installed on Jan 8 until the Corsair H60 accessories came, the board can not start with no sign of failure, I returned the board to Amazon and get a replacement on following day (thank you for Amazon's excellent service), I tried it again and same happened, I contact the support via live chat and say that it needed for service. I contact them again on about Jan 15 when I learned that the board already arrived and tried to see what happened to a new board failure again. The support is very rude, and terminated the live chat.I am still waiting for the returning of the board, return to the seller and plan to buy other brand names. I admit that Asus produced good products in the past ( I used for 23 years), but the support now is not acceptable.Any idea about the board's compatibility with Intel Intel i7-4820K LGA 2011 64 Technology Extended Memory CPU Processors BX80633I74820K

Bad Ram Slot
I bought two of these motherboards but one seems to have a bad ram slot and cannot read anything. The same board also has a little bit of bent connection for the chip slot but has not affected the chips interface.

unusable pci express port
Not a bad motherboard but I am confused as to why gaming use motherboard manufacturers insist on putting the only PCI express port directly under the primary video card slot where they cannot be used with modern double high graphics cards.... initial installation had windows showing a LOT of unidentified system devices on the device manager under the control panel after 3 weeks of researching the issue ASUS released a new set of motherboard driver installation programs which finally ended up identifying and installing drivers for the 23 previously unidentified items.

This is a GREAT motherboard. I have been working on/building computers for ...
I'm not one who writes reviews, but in this case I feel compelled to. This is a GREAT motherboard. I have been working on/building computers for years and this is one of the nicest motherboards I have ever worked on. The BIOS is easy to use and has lots of great features. The thing that I love the most about this mobo (so far) is the Q-LED lights. These indicate problems with attached hardware like the CPU, RAM, etc. I had a problem with the processor and those Q-LED lights, by pointing me in the right direction, saved me loads of money, time and headache. I don't know if this is a common feature among mobo's, but cheers to ASUS for that development.

Works well, highly configurable
I bought this motherboard to use for my new computer which I built. So far the board works as expected. My configuration is as follows:-Intel i7 3930k processor-Corsair H60 water cooler-Quad channel ram, 4gb per channel-Nvidia 590 gtx-Corsair 850w power supply (850HX)Installing the water cooler was a bit of a hassle. The instructions mentioned that you needed to take the socket/bracket off the motherboard. That is not necessary, at least with this motherboard. The water cooler mount points line up perfectly with the socket/bracket. Also, there is plenty of space around the socket in case your water cooler (or fan) has a larger attachment, which is convenient. The BIOS for this motherboard contains many options for configuring and overclocking. I can't say I have touched any of these yet, the defaults seem to be fine for running your system at the default clock. As far as the hardware itself, there seems to be plenty of connectors in terms of things like usb3.0/sata3/e-sata etc. All in all, a great setup.

Great product
Only problem to consider is the size with some VGA. Have a GTX 780 and the VGa covers some of the sata. But bought knowing that.
