In case of fire and water, how does the electronic keypad safe open? I'm assuming electronic keypad won't work at that point.

what happens when battery dies? how do you open safe?

The safe has no electronics and there is no battery. It is entirely mechanical.

My electronic keypad one didn't come with a key? Was told it did. Could others let me know if their keypad ones did or didn't?

No physical key. What you get is a key code which should be on th back of instruction book. Use this to unlock box, then rest using paperclip and follow instruction to set own unique code. Hope this helps.
