Barely works. Grossly over-priced. Won't stay in position. Pretty close to junk
Barely works. Grossly over-priced. Won't stay in position. Pretty close to junk. It might be better if it was nearly twice as wide. Even then it probably won't stay in position because the side that contacts the lens is super slick. It is, after all, in the end, A RUBBER BAND. Go buy a whole bag of them in assorted sizes and widths for a couple of bucks (the black ones last forever). I kept wondering, what could it possibly be about this band that makes it better than a simple rubber band purchased by the dozens? Answer: Absolutely nothing. It's a silly gimmick. Save your money and get a whole bag full.

For the money it's definitely effective.
I have a Sony Zeiss 16-80 lens (SAL1680Z) that I bought in 2009. Over time the zoom ring has loosened so now that when I carry my camera with a shoulder strap I suffer the dreaded "zoom creep". You can google "Lens Creep on the SAL-1680Z" for details and suggestions for solutions. The problem is how to fix it. You can find a place that *might* be able to tighten the zoom ring for about 100 bucks and you're without the lens while the repair is attempted. Or you can use a far cheaper option that's at least as effective in the Lens Band.The lens band does the job for 8 bucks that many repair shops have a hard time pulling off for a lot more. Putting it on the camera is easy and using it is even easier. Definitely worth the money and definitely effective.

Quality item but didn't work for me
This a quality item but it did not stop lens creep...my zoom ring and focus ring are the same ring...so this did not work for me...I ended up getting some friction tape that worked so much better...and cheaper...these lens bands are the same bands that people wear around their wrists for certain causes...so If you have one of those...just sign them up for dual duty

Well worth the price. Buy them while supplies last!
Bought a Black and Blue band for 2 of my Canon Lenses. The Canon 28-135 USM is notorious for lens creep. Found the perfect position to eliminate creep and allow a smooth zoom. I put the black band on my Canon 70-200 f2.8 L USM just to give me something to position my hand on and give give a little more grip to hold onto all that glass.
