After trying a different (cheaper) glass file previously with disappointing results, I figured the rave reviews in general about glass files was just hype. But I got these files today, and they are terrific. These are effective without being too abrasive. These give a super smooth finish to the tips of your nails, too. We’ve all had the experience of a nail file that just seems to chew up our nails. It’s amazing how big a difference it make using a really high quality product.I have been filing and buffing my nails for some time now, so I wasn’t starting from scratch. If you’re new I’d suggest taking it slowly and use a soft touch—you don’t want to grind away and risk damaging your nails, or accidentally end up with a flat-topped nail from filing the center too much. For me I find that it works best to file and buff regularly in short sittings. It’s a perfect activity for when you’re waiting in the car, etc.NOTE: Mine came with two files, each in its own rigid case (Why don’t they just SAY that it comes with two files in the listing? It’s not stated anywhere. Wouldn’t you want to be clear about that if you were selling a product?)TL;DR good product, give it a try

These little files are my first introduction to glass nail care. Previously I used a traditional metal nail file with mediocre results. The metal file would remove the ruff edge but the nail wasn’t smooth. That’s where these glass files come in.The “file” side will remove a serious amount of nail with little effort. The finished nail is incredibly smooth. Running the end of two filed nails together feels like glass. No friction whatsoever!The “buffing” side takes some practice to get right. If you’ve come from using a buffer block to this it will take a minute to get the hang of it. Just rotate your finger while keeping the file moving across the nail surface constantly and you will get great results. No more buying buffing blocks!

Bone Fide Beauty has long since been a favorite when it comes to crystal files. I have purchased several for myself as well as have given several to friends and family. When I first saw the File and Buffer Set, I was intrigued. I wasn't exactly sure what to expect. But knowing Bone Fide Beauty, I knew I wouldn't be disappointed. The description shows that its a 2-piece set. I presumed it would be one file and one buffer. To my surprise, the 2-piece has a file on one side and a buffer on the other. Perfect! They come in a plastic carrying case, so I carry one in my purse and have one on my desk at work. I am never far from a file. While I am never without polish, the file and buffer are perfect for catching those pesky snags. This would also be a perfect set for a well manicured gentleman. If you haven't tried Bone Fide Beauty Crystal Files, this would be a great place to start.

I love Bona Fide glass files and these are no exception. They are small enough to fit easily into a purse pocket, a pencil cup on your desk, your travel toiletries bag, etc. The case is hard plastic and seems even more durable than the cases that come on many of the full size files. The file is very effective while also being gentle to your nail and always leaving a very smooth edge. I have only used the buffer once by accident, but I noticed that it puts a high shine onto the nail quickly.

I wasn’t able to buff my nails evenly—it looked like I was wearing chipped clear polish. I do like these for finishing my nail tips after I file them with a standard Bona Fide Beauty file.The case is very nice; way better than their usual hard cases.I would prefer these files to be the longer normal length. These are travel sized and a little hard to hold.I’d probably buy again as gifts. The two I bought will last indefinitely.

I like them, they come with a case, they are reusable, and washable. The buffer is a little hard to use, laborious, eventually your nails shine but also scratches in places as it is non-uniform buffing. Maybe I just need more practice at the tecnique for buffing.

I have always used a glass nail file and it works great. I’ve never used the glass buffer but absolutely love it. I thought it would be too hard on my nails but I love how shiny they look. I bought the two small travel size set so one stays in my travel case and the other in my small handbag. I’m thinking of buying two more to keep at home.

I have tried glass nail files before and was never impressed. These guys are a world apart! The file works smooth and very fast and the polishing side is fantastic too, works waaay better and faster than the ones on those foam pieces. And no need to change 5 different levels. It creates a very shiny nail. Very impressive.

No liman ni tan bien ni rápido como otras que he probado del mismo material. Éstas además al usar rechinan y se sienten muy incómodas. Con el primer uso se ve que se desgasta la parte donde limaste y queda sin textura. No las recommiendo.
