Flagpole 6 ft. 2-Piece Black Steel Chrome Ball Top and Mounting Hardware

Contrary to some other reviews I found this flag pole to work quite well in the wind but only if you put on the Rotating Mounting Rings correctly! Ring must be put on the top about 1" to 2" from the ball with the set screw on top. The Rotating Mounting Ring on the bottom must have the set screw on the bottom. Tighten the top ring where you want the flag and leave the bottom ring loose. Install the flag on the clips and pull the bottom ring down until the flag is fairly tight. Tighten up the set screw and check to make sure the flag will rotate around the pole without hanging up. If it hangs up move the bottom ring up slightly and try again. Do this until the flag rotates freely. I gave it four stars only because I don't know how long the bracket and rings will last. Remember this pole is designed for flags with one grommet hole on top and one on the bottom.

The wall mount is plastic. Over a short time the flag poll starts to sag towards the ground when the poll is in the strait out position. The flag still get wound around the poll daily.

I wish I could give the product more stars, but I just can't. The base of the product is plastic and with heavy winds, you have to remove the flag all together as it looks like it is going to bend and break. The flag pole itself is nice construction, but the clips that they use to keep the flag from getting wrapped up do not work well at all.Would recommend, but just know this is what you are getting.

this flag pole has the reach I needed to get my flag away from the roof of the building, but I wish it were a little stronger. sometimes in winds of 30+ mph, I think it may crumble and blow away. so far it's withstood wind speeds gusting to over 35mph.

I only gave this 4 stars due to the fact that the swivels don't work as well as they did when I first installed the pole. The flag now gets hung up and twisted around the pole even in mild to lower winds. One of the biggest pluses to this pole is that it's made right here in the states.

Love all things Valley Forge when it comes to flying my American Flags. This is a gorgeous black pole with wooden knob painted silver at the top. Flown 24 hrs a day for the past 6 months and still looks brand new. Highly recommend!

Not terribly impressed with this product. Half of it is plastic. The silver ball at the end is painted with chrome paint, half of which was missing as soon as I opened the package.... Cheap. I had to replace the screws that came with the mounting bracket with longer screws because the mount is very narrow and the was a lot of movement any time the wind blew. This is mounted on my lovely new vinyl siding and there was a ton of flex, which made me really uncomfortable that it was going to break the siding or come flying off. The clips that attach the flag to the pole are not designed very well and difficult to use.

The only black pole I could find! Excellent quality pole - just don't use the plastic mounting bracket. We were so satisfied with the first one that we just bought a 2nd one for our sports team flag. The plastic mounting bracket is very cheap (we never used it) but we already had a super strong stainless steel bracket that has held up in hurricane-type winds so get one of those and you'll be golden.

Love the look of the flag staff, very easy to assemble and works great - even in high wind conditions.
