Birds of Minnesota Field Guide (Bird Identification Guides)

It is much easier to use this little book than the others I have since I can start the search by color which is the most obvious thing when we see a new bird at our feeder. If females are a different color from the male then they are listed separate--saves us from thinking it's a totally different bird! So far there is only one bird we have not been able to identify with this book.

This is good for someone just starting to bird. I however found it to be lacking many species. It has all the common birds but lacks many warbler and sparrow species. It has great pictures and information on the species that are included but is isn't a very comprehensive guide and you may outgrow it quickly.

Easy to use to identify birds we see at our feeder by their color. This book is a handy small size that's easy to keep on the counter or window sill and yet has lovely, large full color photos of the birds! We'd been looking for a bird guide to help us identify birds at our new feeder...but didn't want to look thru 100's of photos and pages of birds that don't visit backyard feeders or live in our area. This fit the bill perfectly! I could not be happier with it...and I have know purchased one for a friend! Cannot beat it, and the price is great, too!

This is a great reference book that we keep handy by our “bird watching window”. We flag the birds we see visit our yard. The birds are organized by color so it makes finding the right bird easy. Both my young kids like looking through it and learning about the birds, too.

I bought the book for my area and liked it so much I ordered this one for someone living in Minnesota. I highly recommend this bird book. Could not find it at local Barnes and Noble. If I had and sent through the mail she would still be waiting months later.

Absolutely love this book!! If you’re looking for an easy to use bird book this is it!!! I actually have one for my home and one for my cabin!

A MUST HAVE for Minnesota birders!

My kids got really interested in birds after we got a new feeder. This is easy enough for my 5 yr old to use. The photos are great and there is nice, concise info about each species.
