Fjallraven K¿nken Mini Ox Red One Size

I have a 15'' laptop Kanken bag already I use for school, but wanted something smaller to use instead of a purse and the Kanken Mini is perfect. Note- it is a very small bag. Hence the name Mini. But it's enough to carry around for an day outing. I usually carry around my Kindle Fire, a small paperback, classic sized moleskine journal, wallet, earbuds, and general incontinence (lip balm, travel sized toiletries, etc) I ordered from ShopBop and did receive an authentic Kanken. I got an Ochre kanken, which is a bit brighter than the stock photo but is a nice jeweled tone golden color. Kankens are notorious for getting dirty really easily- be aware of that when ordering a light color. The side pockets are not intended for water bottles, and while you can find certain water bottles that will fit in the Classic Kanken and larger sizes, don't expect to be able to in the Mini. However, they are the perfect size for sunglasses, a phone, bus schedule, etc. The Kanken also comes with a small foam pad you can take out and use as a seat pad, and it also adds a bit of padding to the back of the bag, great for a small tablet or just keeping the shape of the bag (which will loosen up over time) Also be aware that if you have a large frame or are a more full figured person, the Mini might not be the right bag for you. I'm 5'2 and of average weight and the straps extended as far as they can go are comfortable on me, but I can see how someone larger might have difficulty. Overall though, this is a great casual bag (and adorable).

Just received it yesterday and as u can see I’ve already attacked this bag with pins and keychains. By all of the tags and the logo in the front it all looks authentic. Came with all the same tags the others I’ve gotten in the past from the kanken site so it looks to be legit. If you have one of these bags in the graphite color this super gray color looks very similar, I have the sling in the graphite and the graphite is just a bit more on the bluish side. I have a few of these bags and I highly recommend them, be mindful that if your on the tall side or if you’re on the thicker or heavy side the straps may be too short, go with the original size instead. If you’re 5’4” and under and/or on the thinner side and thinking about getting this bag go for it! Great quality bags especially if you have little ones, they can use them too. And they always fit the essentials I need for them, the mini size holds a lot! I can carry pull ups for my son, wipes, makeup bag, wallet ice breakers gum (which is a big container), mints, my ray bans, keys, hand sanitizer spray, bottle for my son, small toy for my daughter, and several other things in the main compartment alone with a little room to spare and I have several small items in the front pocket. Very cute little bags and worth the price imo.

This little bag holds so much (full list below)! The color Fog is great: it's neutral and chic, and it doesn't get dirty. I had the black version for a few days before returning it because it showed so much dust, and I'm not a fan of all the bright color options. This is just perfect. I accidentally marked the outside with a black gel pen, but it came out super quick. The fabric is really easy to clean and water/stain resistant. My only wish is that the top handles were just slightly larger, maybe by an inch or so. I love the handles because I can carry the bag like a tote, either just down by my side or hanging off my forearm. It would just be easier to get my hands through if they were a little longer, but that's trying really hard to find a fault. In the main compartment: two (yes, two!) A5 sketchbooks, a Kindle Paperwhite, an 8oz water bottle, a large sunglasses case, a 20cm x 9cm x 5cm pencil case, and a scarf or light sweater. In the back inner pocket: the included seat (which is handy for sitting outside), 2 folded Baggu standard-size reusable shopping bags. In the left side pock: a travel-size bottle of sun-screen, a small tube of hand cream, a Tide pen, an ink pen, and a small hand mirror. In the right side pocket: my Nexus 6P (a large phone). In the front pocket: my car/house keys, my wallet (slim front-pants-pocket size), a pack of gum, chapstick, a small travel-pot of Aquaphor, and hair ties.

purchased exclusively for disneyland since i go 1-3x per year. perfect size, can fit a surprising amount - i shoved an entire padded denim jacket in here and still had room for the group’s wallets, huge key ring, tide stick, full size bottle of sunscreen, and more. fit into some of the bag containers on rides but not all. docked 1 star because like all kankens, it gets dirty so so fast and it really stains. very hard to clean once it’s dirty, i scrubbed with a toothbrush and dawn soap, baking soda, even tried oxyclean, and the dirt really refused to come out. also the straps can be a bit uncomfortable, i wish there was more padding. overall classic kanken quality, well made, sturdy fabric, very happy with my purchase and hoping to embrace the natural wear and tear.

I purchased my Kanken mini from the Zappos Seller. I Knew that i was paying more than the lowest seller, but buying an authentic bag was more important than saving a couple bucks. I knew from reading reviews to Select the seller carefully because amazon lumps all sellers together for one Item. This bag is 100% authentic. I did have to Youtube instructions on adjusting the straps as they were very difficult to move through that plastic D Ring. The bag is very high quality, and fits alot For being a Mini size. Its very comfortable to wear. I live in hawaii and the rain is quick and random, so having a water resistant bag is a must here! This bag will take me from a Hike, to the beach and Out & about! The two Side pockets are very small. I currently cannot find anything more than a cellphone that will fit there and it doesnt even fit my cellphone with a case on it.. I have various sizes Swell and Hydroflask water bottles and None of them fit. Those water bottles can fit inside though. inside the front Zipper pocket i can fit my iphoneX inside, But that is NO case! The phone does not fit with a case on it. The main pocket can fit a fullsize ipad inside. I wish there was some Pockets on the inside of the bag to better organize items like Keys, but i guess i can easily put those in the Small front zipper pocket. I will definitly be looking for a "organizer" to put inside this bag!

When I first took it out of the box, I thought it was far too small and actually had second thoughts about it. But after taking a closer look at it, and putting things I would pack into it, I fell in love with it. It's small, but it can hold a bit more than I thought it would. It's the perfect size for going to amusement parks, trips to the city, museums, or for whenever you want to have something small but be hands free. Which is the reason I bought it for. It's great for packing only the essentials, which is something one should keep in mind when thinking about purchasing. So far in the main compartment, I've packed my wallet, zipper pouch that contains feminine products, my epipen, a comb, a compact mirror, an extra hair tie, my instax mini 8, an extra pack of film, hand lotion and lip balm. In the small zipper compartment upfront, I put ear buds along with my iPod shuffle. The side pockets are a bit small, but you could easily fit your phone, maps, brochures etc. It also comes with a foam insert in the main compartment pocket which is meant to be used as a seat while hiking. IMO, its far too small, so I'll just keep it inside to keep the bag's structure. Overall, the fog color is a nice neutral gray color, and it looks adorable. But again like I said, its just enough space to fit essentials. I would recommend it to anyone looking for a small pack. After purchasing this, I'm definitely going to get the Classic size in another color.

This backpack is both small and big - small enough to be used as an everyday pack for shopping and commuting, but big enough to fit most of the essentials you need on the road every day. The word "mini" is definitely underestimating its capacity in terms of volume. I can easily fit a 0.5L poland spring bottle, wallet, cosmetic bag, a point and shoot camera, some snacks, a folding umbrella, cell phone, portable battery, and other small gimics that is more than enough for a day trip to the city or a walk in the fields. The side pockets though, are indeed somewhat small for a water bottle, but they can be used for some other stuff like a map or something for quick access. The ochre color is a deeper yellow with less "shine" (as compared to the warm yellow), and is a more "mature" color for adults and looks beautiful under the sun. It also looks more dirt resistance than warm yellow. The Amazon picture is deceiving in terms of its real color. If possible, check out the stores for the actual color and you won't be disappointed. It is very sturdy. The size is probably best for kids and petite women, as the strap might be too short for guys and taller women. I am 5'1'' with a petite stature, and I have extend the shoulder straps to their maximum length to feel most comfortable. Therefore, think before you buy if you are taller person as the shoulder straps may be too short. Overall I love this bag and I wish I could get each color :)
