The Best Source
No better source to learn about Warre hives than from Warre himself! This book covers all the bases with everything you need to know about constructing a Warre hive, the benefits of this kind of hive compared to others, how to maintain the Warre hive (a big reason to want a Warre hive - let bees be bees and the humans collect and enjoy the honey when the time is right, without much disturbance to the bees), type of equipment to work with bees, the best plants to attract bees and make them productive, how to harvest honey, as well as any diseases to look out for with descriptions.

The Best
This is THE seminal work on beekeeping with the Warre hive, from the horse's mouth himself. Many people write about Warre hives, but Warre said it best himself.Simple, easy to follow, easy to memorize, and best of all, it is bee friendly, and the Warre hive is easy on your pocketbook..You do not need to read many books on beekeeping, but you do need to read the good ones, and this one is one of the best.

good read, informative many reasons to believe that this is a great hive.
The Warre Beehive is a great choice for low maintenance bee keeping. I enjoyed the comparisons to other beehive types and the reasons that this hive is superior. The first time beekeeper could not find an easier beehive to start with nor a book with more simple management techniques.

Facinsating book.
This book is a fascinating, quick, informative read. Even if you have no intention of building the hive he as he suggests, I highly recommend any bee keeper interested in keeping bees as naturally as possible read this book.

Do not miss this book!
This is a must read for all those interested in bees, beekeeping and bee products. The "Natural" way to keep and care for bees. Written more than 60 years ago, but absolutely relevant to today's concerns about the environment and the plight of the bee. Anyone interested in eliminating sugar from their diet for health reasons should read the sections on honey versus sugar and sugar substitutes. I'm anxious to see a follow-up on Warre hives and the beekeeping process by the translator of this wonderful book, David Heaf. 5 stars!

Very insightful
Very informative book for the Langstroth or Warre beekeepers. I wish some of these new age Warre hive folks would actually read this book. Very insightful.

Great book
Very good book if you are interested in this design of hive. Some of the information is of course very dated, but still interesting.
