Owl diaries are the best !
My daughter is 7 and reads at a second grade level ! These books are amazing ! They keep her engaged and wanting to read. The stories are adorable and age appropriate. I would say they are more for girls but boys could enjoy them too! The pages have lots of color and just the right amount of words awesome book!

~~Outstanding~~
The author has written this book for children 5 to 7 and grades K to 2. An outstanding book in which the little owls go on a camping trip. There is a list of things to love about camping and also those that are not....Really cute. The adventure is on when the class...led by Mrs. Featherbottom....arrives at the camp. The 'campers' all worked on different projects to get the site ready for their stay. Some gathered wood, some water, and some put the tents up. Teamwork is emphasized throughout this one...and I loved that aspect. There is a hunt for a treasure...does it exist? and, will it be found? Humor is interspersed, as well. I loved it when they hooted campfire songs. Outstanding. Problem solving also enters into the story which also illustrates teamwork. At the end, the value of friends and family is also stressed. The drawings are well done and bright and colorful which will hold the attenion of your little ones. Most highly recommended.

Great choice for younger children
My 6 year old loves Owl Diaries so we had to purchase this one as well. She can read most words independently from this series which helps build her confidence. The illustrations are colorful and engaging as well!

Owl Diaries fan
My 5 year old daughter really enjoys the Owl Diaries books. Honestly, my 8 year old son still likes them some too. This story sees the class go on a group camping trip, with an assignment to use the natural resources around them to create useful items. The lead team here gets sidetracked, unintentionally fulfilling the assignment along the way.

Love the entire series.
My 5 year old daughter LOVES the owl diaries. We have all the books in the series after borrowing them from the library the first time. She’s a beginner reader and can do chapter on her own now too depending on when we’re reading. And she’s taken to calling her brother a squirrelhead which I’m not too sure about?!

Owl Diaries✨
My daughter loves these books. It has a series that’s she’s been reading since kindergarten on her own. I think it’s a great way to start your child off with chapter books. I just love the funny names of the characters and the words they use. My daughter is in the first grade and she wants to read these over and over. 📚

Fun and Perfect for Early Chapter Readers
My 8.5 year old daughter and I really enjoyed this book that I had preordered months ago! She read all the Owl Diaries last year so we were excited for a new one. It has a very neat plot we could relate to since our family went camping this summer. My daughter loved reading it aloud to me and the confidence it gave her was priceless. Well done and thank you so much, Rebecca Elliott! I only wish there were more. 💗

Such cute stories all relating to how an owl would narrate.
These owl diary books are perfect for children who are almost ready for chapter books. My 7-year old loves the graphics on each page with such cute stories. She is waiting for the next one to be released.

Daughter is sad that the next own diaries isn't coming out till January?! Love the whole series read them all over the summer and was lucky enough to have her mom (me!) Buy her the unicorn diaries for the start of school. Great easy to read books that have lots of colorful pictures and easy to read text. Not overwhelming but also not an easy read.
