Toastabags 50 Use Pack, Gold, Pack of 10

Gold Toastabags...Originally I used to buy these in an high street store in my area. That store no longer sells them. The ones I owned were no longer useable (a set of two) So I needed to find more (Amazon's version is much better value for a pack of ten!) The texture of these Toastabags don't feel like paper. They feel like coated fabric. Obviously, fire and heat retardant. Great quality and should last a long time. I use each bag at medium temperature just to be safe because they heat up fast and a higher temperature would burn the bread. No problem for thick slices! There are cut out handles on the bags that protrude above the toaster and feel less heat than the rest of it for easy removal. If you wanted to add more ingredients into your sandwich the bags are large enough to do so. Just make sure you cut them into thin pieces, less mess! Although, each bag is reusable and can be rinsed with warm water and mild washing up liquid and left to dry for further use.

These have revolutionised my lunch! They're so easy to use, just make a sandwich, pop it in and put it in the toaster. The only criticism, which is more to do with the logistics than the bag, is that you need to watch out for your toasties burning as putting 2 slices in 1 part of the toaster naturally means that they push against the sides more, which can cause the bread to cook and burn very quickly. We've found that for some reason this seems to affect one side of the bread more than the other so we tend to pop them out and flip them round half way through the cooking. Good value for money though and they've given me something else to eat for lunch at work so 4 well earned stars.

Great lil bags for the toaster. You can make toasty sandwiches in them or use them just for toast as I do being coeliac. Super buy.

I bought this pack of toaster bags nine months ago, and I’m still using them almost daily. In fact, because they are reusable, I am still reusing the same four from the original ten, with the other six still in the packet. The bags are made from what feels like tough, woven nylon-type material and, of course, are heat resistant. They do become somewhat discoloured with scorch marks after a few uses, but this is just cosmetic, and they continue to be completely functional, if slightly unsightly. They claim to last for 50 uses; I’ve lost count, but they’re still working fine. Using them is simple. Just make an ordinary sandwich, then slide it into the bag. It does take some care to feed it in, and it can be a little more tricky if using thick slices, but it gets easier after the first few times. Then it slots into your toaster as you would a slice of bread. When making ordinary toast, I set the toaster's control dial at around the 12 o'clock position. For toaster bag sandwiches, I lower it to about 11 o'clock, and to 10 o'clock for very thick bread. All toasters have varying settings, so this is just a rough guide based on my own toaster. If using cheese, it’s usually half melted when finished (see attached video), but this depends on a few variables: whether it’s grated or sliced, the thickness of the bread, and the time spent in the toaster. So, the result can range from slightly softened sliced cheese to fairly gooey grated cheese, à la pizza topping. I’m not sure if all toasters are the same, but mine only switches off the heating elements once it’s physically popped up. One time, I used extra thick bread, and it didn’t pop up when the timer finished because it was slightly wedged in, so the heat stayed on. Luckily, I checked before it burned, but it may be worth bearing this in mind with thick slices and/or deep fillings. The results are delicious. I tend to use grated cheese with mayonnaise for a quick snack. Of course, you can use your imagination for any suitable filling of your choice. The packaging blurb suggests they can also be used for heating slices of pizza, chicken nuggets, etc. I have used it to heat sausage rolls and it worked well. When finished, I clean the bag by turning it inside out and then washing it the next time the dishes are in the sink. It’s quite quick and easy, and once dry, they’re ready to be reused again and again. All good so far. Pros: • Easy to use • Fits well in most toasters • Quick and simple to clean • Great value for a 10-pack • Convenience over toasted sandwich maker machines • Reusable many times Cons: • Discolouration over time Overall, these are an excellent choice for quick, delicious snacks. You can make two or more at the same time, as many as you have slots in your toaster. Much quicker, easier, and less messy than sandwich toaster machines. Very flimsy and small.Supposed to get 50 uses,I will be lucky to get 5.

Love these. Great for a wee toasties for the kids. No mess, no fuss.

While these work very well they are very small and would better with slices from a smaller loaf and not the full size that I have, it was a tight fit to get the sandwich in.
