Lovely clock. The directions were terrible. The battery is included. I am not very handy but it took me a while to figure it out.

The media could not be loaded. I am so happy with this purchase! The clock looks great on the wall. Is silent when the pendulum swings back and forth, and keeps perfect time.

I've had this for a few months now, and I really like it. Setting the time, chime, and quiet period is very easy - just follow the instructions, and it works every time. The look and finish is great, and the chimes sound very nice. The only knock against this thing is the mounting hardware is terrible. Specifically, if one wants to mount this to the wall where a stud is, the included screws are far too short to penetrate the stud through the drywall. They're 0.5in long, which means they only penetrate the drywall. It's also impossible to find longer versions of these small diameter screws, so it's either - a) rely on the drywall to hold the clock, or b) use a different mount altogether. I went with the first choice, because I'm lazy, and so far so good. The clock is not very heavy - maybe a few pounds.

I purchased this clock to replace an old school clock I purchased years ago that stopped working. It was the same brand. You can turn the chimes down low and the sound is very nice. Unfortunately I could not find the mechanism to fix my old clock and had to purchase a new one.

Purchased as a present. Easy to set and to turn chimes on and off and keeps very good time. Highly recommended.

I was looking for a mechanical wall clock to replace the one that died. It was beautiful, but it’s “chime” was just a single metal rod with an unpleasant tone. I wanted to avoid electronic clocks because typically chimes sounded like a poor cassette tape recording of chimes from a real clock. But this one was perfect in wood tone, style, and chime sound. My home is a craftsman/modern blend. Oak floors and straight lines in doorways, windows, and the limited trim. Painted Kilim beige and white wood work. Kitchen and family room are stained oak in a medium tone. This clock is perfect, and sounds nice. Set the volume low, and off during nighttime hours. I’m very pleased so far.
