Thank goodness I read many reviews that said they run small. I purchased an XXL. It's a bit large on me who is 5'7"/180, but fits my hubby who is 5'10/200 perfectly. We just bought one to share as there is only one of us that has to walk out to the chicken coop or other buildings in a rain storm. We're both tickled to finally have a nice long raincoat. This raincoat goes down to just above our shoes. It's sure not thin either. I wouldn't say it's heavy, maybe medium weight is a good way to sum it up, but it seems sturdy, not one that's going to stretch or rip with normal wear. We figured out it's got a quick/partial snap method for just running outside quick, or a complete snap method if it's nasty out or going to be out for long. It also has two snaps in the back, one just below the butt and the other closer to the bottom so if you were going to be sitting in a car, you could unsnap those two. The collar is nice and feels like its fabric. It has a snap at each wrist in case you wanted to make a cuff, or tighten it up. The hat I snapped on easily. It fits well and looks great too. All in all, this is a great raincoat! We both are very pleased.

This is a great rain jacket. I am outside in the rain and with my other coats the rain would seep through or they weren't long enough and my pants would get soaked. This jacket has eliminated that. I was skeptical initially since it seemed very flimsy both with the snaps and material, but the first time out I didn't get wet. There is little vents in it, so don't expect it to keep you warm (I thought I was getting wet because of the drafts). It has snaps around the sleeves to make them tighter around your wrist, but my wrist are small, so it didn't help me a lot. The hood is large and keeps your face from getting wet. I bought a large as I am a larger woman hoping it would fit my mid section. It does. The only problem I have is if I have to lean down the buttons come undone. Maybe an xtra large would have been better. I can't use the snaps to make them pants (again maybe the next size up). So far this has been exactly what I needed and I have gotten many compliments.

Overall a great product at an awesome price. I really like the chaps option too. I recommend getting two sizes larger than what you wear for clothing size, that way you can wear it over layers or a jacket say and still have room to move around without popping the snaps open whenever you bend or turn or sit down. The overlapping snap system is easy if you snap the inward-facing snaps first on the right side to the left side and then snap the left side to the right side it provides a waterproof and windproof seal that works superbly! I gave it four stars because they do not tell you this anywhere in the product description AND having ordered several different sizes my biggest disappointment with this product is the detachable hood. It barely fits over my head and I have a very small hat size (7 1/8 US). The point on top (like a dunce cap cone) is non functional and makes the hood ride up off your head and it fills up with air like a balloon and blows off in the rain AND AND AND NO MATTER WHAT SIZE JACKET YOU BUY THE HOODS ARE ALL THE SAME SIZE THAT COMES WITH A SMALL SIZED RAINCOAT!!!! Whoever made this jacket obviously did not think this part through even a little bit. I ordered every size they have and every one of them has the same sized hood. SO, if you do not need a hood to protect your head from rain or sleet or snow then this jacket is for you!

I bought two of these for the times we potty our pups in the windy rain storms. The length Is fantastic. It keeps us dry. The material is fairly thick. It’s a little stiff. It fits well with a jacket underneath. It’s fine for the few times we needed it.

Very heavy. Like an iron coat. Seems very protective, but have not yet really tested for that. Not a good travel item.

I'm 5'10" about 157 pounds. I hit the XL based on other reviews. L would fit better, but XL will allow me to wear a heavy coat underneath. It's long as shown. It reaches to about 2 inches above my ankle. Snap-on hood is a nice fit also. One inside large pocket and one external pocket with a cover flap and snap closure. Nice heavy material that should last for a while.

Galeton mens RAINCOAT, Black, 3X-Large Tall US. Heavier than exepcted. Not a con - should last much longer. I am 6'1" and 235 lbs. The 3X-Large Tall fits well - slightly loose (as it should be) to add layers underneath in colder weather. The sleeves go below my wrists (halfway down the hands) and the body length goes to my ankles. Materials seem sturdy. Snaps are plastic but seem well made. stitching is excellent. Only Con is there is no reflective strip anywhere on this otherwise black raincoat. Bying some after market reflective tape to overcome this deficiency.
