Extreme Clothespins Primarily Primary are manufactured to the highest standards in Italy. They are formed from premium stainless steel and (304 stainless) coated in automotive-grade paint. They perform their duty with skill, holding the thickest of comforters and the thinnest of silks with ease, clamping the material to the line preventing wind from ruining your clean laundry. Extreme Multicolour Pins are also extremely useful for many other jobs, such as organizing, decorating, and displaying. Included are two each of the following colours for a total of 18 clothespins: Stainless, Green, Chili Pepper Red, Mediterranean Blue, Slicker Yellow, Distant Mountain Purple, Orange, Glacier White & Stealth Black. Stainless Pins are weatherproof in many extreme environments, Coloured Pins may fade over time when exposed to the elements.

They worked like a dream
We line dry in Kansas, dealing with winds that are not only fierce but, as anyone in the Midwest will tell you, change direction at the drop of a hat. For most pins, the changes in direction will eventually work your clothes loose. But with these, as a test, I hung a queen size quilt, with three pins, in sustained 20 mile per hour winds, with gusts of 40, changing from south to west and back multiple times per hour. They worked like a dream. I cannot think of a harder test. I only use a single pin for clothes, even heavy jeans and sweaters, and two pins for bedsheets, and I've never had a single item blow off.I can't recommend them enough.

Live up to expectations and beyond!!
Every once in a while you come across an item that not only actually works the way it's supposed to but even surpasses your expectations. These extreme pegs are that item! It doesn't matter what the wind conditions or the load of laundry, these keep everything securely clipped to the clothes line. This spring I even hung up an old tarp that had been used to keep something covered over the winter and was pretty filthy, thinking it would be good to just let it air out and then I would be able to brush all the grime off of it. That night we endured one of the worst wind storms we've had in a long time with rain and howling gales and I could hear that tarp being battered and buffeted all night long, right outside our bedroom window. I thought for sure it would be long gone when daylight arrived but it was still hanging securely by the extreme pegs! They have kept king sized sheets, a load of towels, work clothes, winter wear, etc. securely on the clothes line through some pretty intense wind. I can't recommend them enough for anyone who uses a clothes line.

Fantastic product and support
I contacted this vendor prior to purchasing to ask some questions about the product. They responded with detailed answers so it's clear customer service is important to them.I took these pins on a one week catamaran charter in the Bahamas. They performed great. They are very strong (stay closed). So strong I was worried they might leave marks on the items they held. I hung a 3 mil thick scuba wet suit and when removing the wet suit you could see indentations where the pins had been. I did worry about them causing a permanent impression but they did not (the marks went away after a while). None the less I am note sure I'd hang certain items with these without using a bit of padding to protect anything as "spongy" as a wet suit.My questions prior to purchase were mostly concerned with corrosion resistance. Marine environments are super harsh. If you buy a pin that costs more than a dollar it better last. Otherwise buying cheap wood ones and replacing them often is more cost effective. The vendor explained that the pins are actually painted with automobile paint. This provides a great covering that definitely *should* work pretty well in a marine environment. But did it?The pins feel and look awesome. I wanted to test their corrosion resistance so I tested a couple of white pins and a couple of unpainted ones (just raw stainless steel) by dunking them in the ocean each day and letting them air dry on the lifelines on the boat. On the lifelines they are exposed to sun and sea spray. After a week on the boat and in the sea they still looked new. But of course corrosion can take a bit of time to be evident. So I didn't write this review until 3 months after I got home. The pins I dunked every day, plus the pins I used in the normal way to hang my wet suit, bathing suit, towel, etc...all look good as new still. Not sure we're we'll be in a year but I'm super impressed thus far.Yes these cost more than wooden pins and more than many of the plastic pins. But they're super strong, won't get brittle in the sun like plastic, and I imagine with car paint they'll be very slow to corrode. They will of course eventually corrode but I am willing to bet not until I've gotten more than my money's worth out of them.

Tough workhorses - even in 40 mph winds!
Where have this little clothespins been all my life? I live on a very windy farm in the Lowcountry of S.C. I also love hanging duvets, rugs, etc. to air in the sunshine. Until now, I have purchased plastic pins each year that only lasted the year and didn't want to hold my textiles. These pins are fantastic. We have had 40 mph winds all day and nothing was lost off of the line. Don't be worried about their small size...they are real workhorses. And they are stainless steel! I am saving my pennies now to buy some more!

Not as durable as expected-shipping=damage
I live in a very windy area which makes it difficult to hang my sheets with regular clothes pins. I purchased these thinking they would be sufficient unto the task.First things first= as the picture shows, albeit badly, the package was in rough shape when it arrived. Small holes. Scuff marks, looks squished maybe stepped on.One clip is no longer a clip and 2 are bent so they do not have the same strength as they should. Not really usable.I understand shipping and it's issues as well as costs however, at over a dollar per clip I am a little disappointed.I will be keeping them because currently I have nothing else as I gave my daughter my wooden clips in anticipation of these. If they turn out to be better than their arrival I will amend my review.

Absolutely worth every penny! Beautiful design and work great!
I am so glad I bought these. Wooden clothespins just don't hold up any more to wet clothes blowing in the wind. Yesterday I was hanging out my favorite sheet set and I badly didn't want it to break free of the line and fall in the dirt. I was quite a windy day but these clips held my sheets, and my other clothes, securely. Another thing I like is the clean, smooth look and feel to them. You don't worry they're going to mar your clothes in any way. I recommended my daughter buy some right away, and I recommend them to anyone who loves to hang out their clothes but wants them to stay nice.
