Holy grail item. Helps rosacea and sensitive skin
I have rosacea and dry, sensitive skin. And I always had a pimple somewhere on my face. Every time I used a “scrub” on my face, it really irritated my skin. I can’t even remember why I bought this because it goes against everything that works for me in a skin care product. It’s insane, but it works. I use it 3-4x a week. I take about 3/4 tsp and add a drop or two of water. I rub it back and forth on my hands for a few seconds to dissolve some of the big grit (pretty sure it’s granulated sugar) and then really lightly rub it on my face. In a few seconds, all the sugar grit has dissolved and a creamy mud is left you can use regular pressure to smooth it over your face. I think this has improved the look of my skin more than any other product I have (a mix of high quality Korean, Japanese, and French skin care products) and I’m on my 4th purchase. Today I found out it helps with rosacea too, which makes sense, since my rosacea hasn’t been that much of an issue since using this product.

Wonderfully gritty
This scrub is VERY gritty. Like a sugar scrub. The directions say to add a little bit of water to turn the more dry "clay" into more of a paste. Just a few drops of water will do the trick. More than that and you're dealing with a runny mess. My first impression was, "that container looks kind of small!" but as I started to use it, I realized a little bit goes a long way, and it's more than you think it will be. The directions also say you can leave this on overnight. I didn't have much luck with that; as it started to dry, it started to flake off. And you have to remember this is a very gritty texture (it felt like it was getting everywhere, and I could feel it if that part of my face hit the pillow at all). It wasn't comfortable, I felt like I had to baby it. Not something I wanted to do while I'm trying to fall asleep. Although I wouldn't recommend this as an overnight product, I DO recommend it as product for facial cleansing. I bought this due to a recommendation to use with the Olay ProX cleansing brush. And combined, my face does feels incredibly smooth and clean, as though I've just finished an exfoliation mask. The only downside was that the cleansing brush flings the large scrub pieces off your face, as opposed to really scrubbing in. The main pro is that I have seen a reduction in my acne, which has been a hard fete to accomplish as my acne is from a slight hormonal imbalance and localized to just one part of my face. I haven't found anything else to really be successful at combating it. For that, I would say this product was a huge success and I will be trying other products from this line.

I LOVE this product!
This is literally the only and I mean ONLY cleanser that has ever worked for me. I have tried Cetaphil, other Clean & Clear products, Neutrogena (you name it). All of them broke me out, no matter how good the reviews were for that product. So, I've pretty much just been using this for the last couple weeks and gave up entirely on American drug store products. Needless to say, when I first brought this home (desperate to clear my skin) I was very skeptical. However, after just two days of using this on my face, I could see a HUGE reduction in active acne and my redness even seemed to calm. Since my skin is hyper sensitive to products, to the point where almost nothing works for me.. I was hesitant, but decided to give it a try. I am so glad that I did, because this product has seriously impressed me. Not only does it NOT break my sensitive skin out, but it also actually does what it says. It clears my acne & reduces redness! My skin has never looked better since I started using this product. I don't have ANY active acne anymore, which is a miracle for me. I even like the scent and the tingly feeling on my face when I use this cleanser. I will say that after my active acne was cleared, I reduced my usage of this product around every other day or so, as it can be a tad drying if used often.

Will Update in a Few Weeks
I do not know whether this will make any difference for my skin in the long-term - I only received it yesterday. I have been sort of hesitant to use it, but this morning, I gave in and decided to give it a try. I thought for sure that it would burn and leave me dry because I have extremely sensitive skin and lately, it has been even more irritated than normal (see photo). The paste has a very granular consistency - sort of like small crystals of sea salt. It does not have the characteristic aroma of sulfur and, actually, smells quite nice. I applied a small amount (maybe a penny sized pinch) of the paste to my hand and mixed it with a little water from my kitchen sink. The granulated sugar took a minute to dissolve, so I would encourage you to be patient so that you don't leave feeling like you've sand-blasted your face. After I allowed the crystals to dissolve a little, I noticed that the color wasn't quite what I would have expected from a clay... it wasn't pasty, didn't look dry, and wasn't particularly colorful... really, it just looked like I had something wet and slimey on my hand. "I've come this far" I thought to myself, "I might as well give it a go." I put my hands to my face, expecting that instantaneous burn that tells me how much my skin hates me... but, it didn't happen. I thought "well, maybe it's a delayed burn..." and started to smear the water/paste mixture onto my face. Given that this was my first attempt, there's no way I'm letting it sit for fifteen minutes, but I didn't dislike the way it felt and the smell, as I said, was quite pleasant, so I rubbed it around for a good five minutes or so, and then rinsed my face. My skin was not particularly dry. It wasn't moist, mind you... but, my skin hasn't been particularly well-hydrated in 33 years, no matter what I do. Like I said... I don't know whether this will really make any difference in the long-term, but I can tell you that it was nice to be able to exfoliate my face again without feeling like I was ripping off what skin I have left. If you were to ask me, I'd say give it a try... you don't really have much to lose, and even if it isn't the cure-all for your skin problems, it feels good to be able to do something for one's self. Finally, I'd like to caution you that the photo is not the result of this scrub... this is just how my skin usually is... I'm just putting it up so y'all can see how irritated my skin is in hopes that you'll see just how 'sensitive' this product is. :)
