1/4" Thick High-Density Deluxe Non-Slip Exercise Pilates & Yoga Mat, Teal Green

The last time I purchased a yoga mat was in 2010 and only recently did I realize that it was super thin and starting to fall apart. This yoga mat is great! The thickness is wonderful. It helps cushion my wrists and knees. The color (teal) is gorgeous and it's well made and very sticky. I actually used it today for an exercise and really enjoyed it. It's a great mat for the price. I would definitely purchase it again!

I purchased this yoga mat in Teal Green. The color is darker in person than it is in the display photos, but I'm generally happy with it. Measuring in at 1/4" it's just the right thickness and the long length is absolutely perfect. The only downside is that it's a tiny bit slippery. I haven't had any serious issues with this, but it's definitely worth mentioning and taking note of. If the slip factor is an issue for you, either avoid this mat or try pairing it with a towel or yoga socks.As you'll see in the photos, I've also purchased a "2 in 1 Stretch Strap / Mat Sling" to carry my mat and assist my stretches! I purchased this yoga mat to use with the P90X workout program. The mat is a good size and I thought when purchasing would have good gripping, however my hands continually slip due to sweat (if you've done the P90X yoga program you'll understand). If using the mat in conjunction with cardio and yoga - do not leave shoes on or it will tear the mat.

Purchased this mat for bike commuting from work to gym for lunch yoga classes and wanted a decent, but less expensive mat. I gave this 4 stars because it fulfilled what I personally needed (see below), but I would give this 3 stars if you are looking to purchase this as your first yoga mat (see verdict).Mat Test: Smelled a tad rubbery when first unrolled, but sprayed it immediately with mat cleaner which got rid of the smell. I did notice the larger square texture on the "top" of the mat isn't as deeply cut as my pilates mat. After my mat dried, I tested it at a yoga class with a wooden floor. Even after a preliminary wash, the mat still had a filmy texture, so my hands and feet slid a bit in down dog. Plus after standing/sitting in a pose for over 1 min, the mat slowly compressed nearly to the floor ("felt the ground" more than my dense pilates mat, but not as badly as super cheap $10 mats). After more washes and uses (couple weeks), the mat film was removed and is now sticky rather than slippery.Perks: Comes in a variety of fun colors (love the teal green) and if you are 5'7" like me, you will fit on the extra long mat without your limbs hanging off in savasana.Verdict: It is a medium density mat that doesn't crumble or compress instantly like cheap $10 mats in chain stores. However, it is NOT as good as my dense 1/4" pilates mat for wooden floors. If you are looking for a high density mat to avoid "feeling the ground" or are looking to purchase this as your only mat, I do not recommend this product. If you are looking for an OK mat to use 3x/week that needs to withstand a regular bike commute (to keep your favorite one for evening classes nice) this is a good option as a secondary mat.

I wanted a nice mat for a reasonable price and this one is it. It is nice and thick and has a great texture. It has a bit of spring to it but not enough to affect your balance. I also really like the colors. I didn't want to get a bright blue mat and it seems like the other mats out there don't give you much of a choice. I actually got two mats. A dark teal one for me and a tangerine one for my husband. The teal is very nice, it reminds me of the ocean. The tangerine is vibrant and a great color. I like the mats a lot and they don't collect hair and dirt either which is great if you have pets. I would definetly recommend these mats, they're great!

While this yoga mat hasn't changed my life, it does it's job and does it pretty well.PROS:lengththickness (I didn't want a thick pad)color"stickiness" (it's not too sticky but my feet don't move)that it doesn't roll up (like my old one)CONSNo carrying case or strap (I didn't need one, just using at home...but others may want that)ACCEPTABLE AND PREDICABLE CONSmell. Yes, it does smell (especially when your face is in it) but I left it out for a few days and my nose has to be right in it to smell anything and it's pretty light. So yes, it does smell a bit, but it's nothing too bad.I would recommend this yoga mat. I haven't used it for very long, but so far, so good!
