Lasted a long time
They seem to be a good product never got bit but they would work I feel like or I wouldn’t have used them for years. Where I hunt we have rattle snakes and water moccasins out the wazoo. We always kill several each year. A lot of the other guys and gals wear these too. One person wanted me to let one bite me to prove they work, but he didn’t have enough money on him. They are also good for briars too. Would recommend and buy again. Only I’m now in a wheelchair because of a snake bite, just kidding because of a traffic accident but I still hunt a lot of because of the KT Team that helps handicap people get back in the hunt and go fishing check them out online KT Team a great organization.

Put armholes in this and wear it as a dress. You can save the other leg for later.
I live in the very warm dry hills above Malibu. Dry and arid. But beautiful. Love to hike and thought these would be good to have. Tried the short/husky size (even though I'm 5'6" and weigh about 150. I read what another writer wrote and took her advice. WRONG move.) They were too short and so wide I could almost have worn one leg as a skirt. Enormous. Sent those back and ordered the regular regulars. length is okay, but they are still like boats. Cannot walk without scraping them together and making a loud noise. These must work by making so much noise that the snakes quickly slither the other way. The fabric is super stiff -- much more so than a sail on a sailboat. I would say they are stiffer than a seat belt (not as pliable or flexible) and something on the order of -- say a triple-thick canvas grocery store bag you can buy instead of using paper sacks. Actually, I've never seen one of those bags even half as thick as these are. (Just trying to think of something to compare it with to give you an idea. If you sandwiched three of them together and made it really stiff... that might approximate the texture of these things. So, I really can't walk in them. I wish they made them for normal-sized females... We like to hike, too, ya know. And we don't like to get bitten by snakes. Or sound like 1,000 reeds slapping together as we walk, chasing away all the wildlife we're out there to see. The only reason I gave this two stars (instead of one) is that I'm thinking a 5-9 very muscular and sturdy (and thickset) man might get away with using them if he's in the Everglades and doesn't want to be bitten by a water moccasin or other venomous viper. If he doesn't walk much and is just standing still and can't get away from the snake before it strikes, these probably would do the job and keep the bite from penetrating. Yep... they'd work. But I'd rather just not go out in the field than wear these cumbersome and awkward and way-to-big things. But listen up, Rattler Manufacturer! Don't you think women like to hike? Or fish? And if you'll concede that they do, then don't you think a woman is equally likely to want protection from snakebites as a man would be? Is it possible to make a lighter version for a woman to wear? They could snap together at the inner seam according to the size of leg. Just way , way too stiff and cumbersoe for a woman.

Great product
Great product. I purchased these in order to spring turkey hunt in TN (in the area that I hunt it's heavy brush and in the mountains). Be sure you take the proper measurements (thigh girth and inseam) so you know exactly which size to buy. Mine fits perfect and was overall comfortable. Yes, they are warm but not by any means unbearable. In fact, since I bought the camo pair I use able to use that as my actually camo suit so I didn't have to wear the additional pants that I usually hunt in (they blended in the the surroundings nicely). One more thought that I would like to mention. I have read reviews regarding how heavy and challenging these chaps can be to wear out and about in the woods. I'm 36 years old, 5'10 and 195lbs. I stay active and workout but far from a gym rat. This product, to me at least, was not that challenging to wear for basically 2 days straight (even around the camp site). I had to climb straight up a hill side (approx: 1 mile) and walked approx 3-5 miles a day. Yes my legs were tired but not enough to really make a difference. I did not find this product difficult to use in regards to heaviness or fatigue. Luckily I did not have to find out how they work against snakes :)

Dissatisfied with lack of response with purchase of treadmill.
Very satisfied with the rattle snake chaps, although I’m still very disappointed in the treadmill I received that one of the wheels were broken when unboxed, which makes it hard for my wife to store in closet.I have sent info and haven’t received any type of closure with my purchase, would really appreciate some type of actions to be taken.

Rattler Snake Proof Chaps
Great protection from snake bites. I purchased them for my co-workers who were working in a snake-infested environment. They were extremely satisfied with the fit, length of the chaps, and the protection they provided. I highly recommend them.

Good quality chaps
I get peace of mind stomping through the snakey backwoods. They are stiff, but fit nice. Hope to never test them out, but I have rattlesnakes and copperheads living where I hike. They are made of heavy fabric.

decent but need alterations
Chaps are well made and true to size. Like most chaps they are made for men and I had to alter them to fit (getting a size large enough to fit my thighs would have left my ankles swimming, so I got the size to fit from the knee down and altered the top). I also added zippered holes on the side to still access the side thigh pockets I wear them over. I have worn knee high snake gaiters for almost fifteen years and these are much more comfortable!in addition to the comfort and access alterations I also had to add a tab and snap to the bottom of the zipper, because the chaps would slide down as the zipper opened while I walked (taking my pants with them, though I thought they were snugly belted). With a tab and snap at the bottom of the zipper it doesn't open and they don't fall down (or worse, open up and leave me less protected.

good fit, easy to wear
wore them for the first time yesterday, good fit, easy to wear, I have no complaints. Walking through weeds bout 4 ft high no problems, for the price these are perfect for me and i would recommend them, the quaility seems to be as advertised, easy to put on and take off ( i wear hiking boots), might be more difficult for larger boots.Temp was about 80 or so and my legs did sweat a bit. The only thing i cannot testify to is getting struck by a snake and hopefully wont test that part of the product.
