Set of 2 Heavy Duty Nurse Doctor Medical Lister Bandage Scissors Shears (A2ZSCILAB) (Chrome 3.5" + 7.25")

These scissors are great! I am a veterinary student and decided to purchase my own supplies since my school is usually short on many or the quality of their supplies sucks because they have been used and abused. These cut great through bandage material, which we use VERY often, especially for practice. I'm excited to take these with me in the field and show them off. Not only are they great scissors but they're pretty! The small pair is perfect for cutting small pieces of vet wrap/tape off the roll the larger size are better for removing bandages.

I did not pay enough attention to the stated size of these scissors. They are very small. However, they are sturdy and cut well. I tried them on paper, corrugated cardboard, 1/8" plastic, and aluminum dryer duct. They cut right through all those items and do not appear to be dulled by the aluminum. For small hands and small cuts these are a good buy. For emergency situations where you are cutting off clothing to expose wounds, get something larger.

I regularly tape my fingers with athletic tape when they are sprained or to prevent new sprains. I was looking for scissors that could safely and easily remove such tape after working out. The smaller scissors in the set easily fit between my fingers and the tape, and are good for removing up to about four layers of tape.The larger scissors in the set can still fit between my fingers and the tape, although sometimes I have to tilt them sideways initially, before straightening out when I am ready to cut. I use the larger scissors when I have taped a finger heavily and they can cut up to around eight layers of tape.I have cut more layers with both pairs of scissors than I previously suggested without damaging them, but it requires cutting slowly and carefully as they will want to rotate and jam rather than cutting.

Got 2 pairs. They cut fine, but the nib that is supposed to slip between the bandages and the skin was too thick and had some sharp edges. I fixed them with a file and sander, but shouldn't have had to do that.

These are ok. Initially they are sharp but dull pretty quickly. They are nice for the price. The larger pair have difficulty cutting strait through bandages. The angle of the edge seems to be off. It could be re-shaped to correct it but why waste the time?The smaller pair do not have the same issue. The edge actually held up better on the smaller pair. The size is difficult to see from the photo, but these are very small. If you work in pediatrics or with small animals you will appreciate these. They work great for removing iv catheters in small patients.Bottom line: the small pair have a large advantage. The bigger pair are just meh. If you are buying these for a bug out bag or first aid kit then it is a good buy. If you work in the medical field and will use these every day I say skip them.

Update: Still very sharp! These work amazing for cutting catheter tape off of animals.Loved that it was a 2 pack the larger pair was the ones I wanted the smaller scissors were to small for me but another vet nurse loved them so I gave them to her. Both pairs cut very well. We liked them best for removing ivc tape. If you're looking for something for large bandages or casts I don't recommend these they are very small. They cut great just would take alot longer to get a big bandage off.

Pleased with this set of scissors delivered earlier than expected. I got tired of using my regular scissors to cut gauze on my dressing. I had been using regular sized scissors and was leary of going too small so I got this set of 7.5" and 5.5". I'm a medium sized woman and the 5.5" is comfortable to use and cuts well. The 7.5" is uncomfortable but now I have a spare for only a few more dollars. Also happy they come with plastic sleeves for storage. Works well now, will update on durability.

These were exactly what I wanted. Yes, my fingers just barely fit in the smaller one. But I use it for cutting IV line tape from small animals coming out of surgery in an animal shelter, so I needed as small a one that I could work easily. The larger one is more of a standard size. Both are extremely sharp, cut the tape with minimal effort, and they seem to be extremely well built. Excellent value for the price!
