AMACOLG-14 Lead Free Liquid Gloss Glaze, Gray, Pint

Amaco has never failed me, this is another great glaze, one of my favorites. However beware of the example provided above which is very light and almost yellow. I have fired Freckled Brown to both cone 04 and 05 and both times it came out darker- usually a warm medium brown/burnt sienna with wonderful streaks of yellow-gold. It's really beautiful the way it reacts to speckled stoneware. Fired to 04 it was a bit darker but mostly the same results. For the best results definitely layer this glaze on thick, pour it or dip it.

Fires well - goes from orange to yellow upon cooling

This red turns out very vivid for a low fire red. I would strongly recommend it. Just be sure to put it on a bit thick. Had to fire it once, recoat, and fire again to get a uniform look to it.

One of my favorite low fire yellow glazes. Makes a nice, warm yellow, goes on easily, fires well. I always have several jars on hand.

At first I thought the lady firing my pottery was having issues with her kiln, but everyone elses pieces were beautiful. After 3 attempts, I painted a piece with multiple glazes. My other glazes fired perfect, but the Amaco did not. Then another girl showed me that she was having the same issues, and she had bought the exact same glazes. I have ruined several pieces of handmade pottery and won't ever use them again... And to think I bought a case of this stuff.. very disappointed.
