Don't forget to remove the pick board plastic!
I love this guitar. At first, I was going to return it because it looked damaged on the pick board. That was just a VERY thin plastic. The guitar is beautiful and sounds and plays beautifully for its price point.

You can’t go wrong
I’ve been playing for over 50 years. This guitar plays better than my Rickenbacker 370/12. I don’t think you can find a better sounding, playing 12 string at this crazy price. I thought for sure I’d be returning it. Once I let it equilibrate to the house temperature and humidity it tuned right up. The neck is straight and intonation is spot on. The Fishman pickup system sounds great. I own about 25 guitars. Some vintage from the 60’s. I will be keeping this one.

SUPERB guitar - Easy to upgrade later - Easy to make same spec as $500 to $1000 guitars.
I bought this on amazon warehouse saving around $150 off the normal price as it was not 100% PERFECT (are they ever at that sort of discount)? hehe I am super happy, I cleaned up and repolished the guitar and laquered it and it is like brand new now I am SUPER SUPER HAPPY with this guitar ( I would say I am intermediate on guitar although people say I play like pink floyd and they are looking forward to my album later in 2022 )So the CD60SCE Fender 12 string ... as an experienced guitar player for 30 + years on and off and I have played in bands in the 1990s across the UK ..... my verdict ... THIS IS A SUPERB GUITAR and up there with the $500 to $1000 price range since they all seem to have hardwood top BUT LAMINATE sides and back until you reach $1000 +I do not understand why the "guitar reviews and videos online" put this guitar down as a BEGINNERS GUITAR ... Definitely NOT THAT.If you want an OUTSTANDING 12 string guitar that is EXCELLENT VALUE when bought cheaper than retail ( because it has a PLASTIC NUT and BRACE) ....... Snatch one up whilst they are available AND when the plastic wears down OR when you have changed your strings multiple times over several years .. THEN just simply buy a high end BONE NUT and BONE BRACE for a few dollars and them fitted professionally ... now you have a guitar of the SAME SPECIFICATIONS are guitars between $600 and $1000.To me, this is a KEEPER and I will keep it in my music home studio until the day I die, I see no reason to ever part with it unless I make millions from selling music, then I will donate it signed to a charity that needs the money for a REAL purpose.

Disappointed (update)
I started to give this guitar 3 then I moved it up to four once I plugged it in. It definitely sounded better through the amp than it did without it. I just got it a few hours ago, and when I was tuning it up one of the tuning pegs slipped already. Once I started playing it, I was disappointed in the initial sound. Once I plugged it into my amp it sounded much better to me. To be honest I wouldn’t recommend this to an experienced player . I’m thinking about returning it already and spending an extra 300 and getting something that sounds better. I bought it because it was a fender and figured I couldn’t go wrong. But as I say you get what you pay for. I just wanted a 12 string because I haven’t had one in 50 years. I have several guitars all six string. Anyway, I’m gonna play for awhile and see if my opinion changes :-) i’ve had the guitar for a month now. It’s still not the greatest 12 string I’ve played, but I’ve gotten used to it. I’ve got a new set of strings to put on it which should help. I’ve had no more problems with the tuning pegs. They seem to be working fine. The main thing is the neck and headstock are so much heavier than the body. You cannot put a strap on the pegs that are on the guitar or the neck just hangs down. I put a strap on it that attaches to the neck of the guitar and has alleviated some of the weight problem. I actually thought about putting a lead weight in the back end of the guitar to even it out. But as far as the sound, It definitely sounds better through my 50 watt fender . I still wouldn’t recommend it for your first 12 string. Spend the extra money. I blame myself for some of this because I ordered it online when I should’ve checked it out at the guitar store first. Had I known about the weight difference I wouldn’t have bought it. :-) but for the time being, I’m happy to have it. Next year I’ll buy a new Guild 12 string. Or hope to. I have nothing against fender, but this is a bad design. I own a fender jazzmaster, and enjoy it very much. And I just bought a new fender amplifier. Next month, god’s willing, I’ll be buying a Stratocaster. And I’d love to have a fender jaguar. I said all this, just to say, I really like Fender, but I do not like this particular guitar.
