Super dark and fast drying - Great daily driver!
Bulletproof black is the best black ink. At least, in my opinion. I've tried many blacks from sample kits but bulletproof black is by far my favorite. It dries quickly, is bulletproof (water proof, bleach proof, and lasts forever on regular paper), and is the darkest black I've tried. When signing things, the printed black on the page is so much lighter than my writing, and it makes my signature even better. I recommend this ink to anyone who wants a great daily driver for a fountain pen.

Very Cool Shading Ink (Southwest Sunset) - Somewhat dry.
This is a review of Noodler's Ink "Southwest Sunset" which used to be called "Apache Sunset," a way cooler name that died in the PC wars.I got this ink because it has a reputation as being one of the better examples of a shading ink. And it definitely lives up to that reputation. Every letter (character) you write will have a mix of color from yellow to orange. Funny thing is, I'm not really a fan of shading - I'd prefer my normal writing be consistent. However, it is fun to have one ink that is "crazy" for whatever reason. This ink is "dry", meaning that it doesn't flood out of your pen and it writes a little bit "scratchier" than a wetter ink. This goes with the territory; if you want shading you are going to have some dryness. The interesting thing is that while it is called "dry", it is one of the thinnest or watery inks, in terms of viscosity, of any that I own. I think maybe it has less lubricant, which would add thickness, but that is my limited-education guess. One characteristic of this ink I think I should mention is that it is not a good choice for low-lighting writing. When you begin the stroke of a new character, the ink is a VERY pale yellow and in low light this can mislead you into thinking the ink is failing to flow. By the end of the character where the ink pools and back-fills your writing, it is a much darker orange color and the coverage is obvious. If you plan on writing in a nice cozy candle-lit cottage someplace this may not be the right ink for that scenario, your mileage may vary.I give this ink 5 stars due to its unique nature and value for quantity. I will not be using it as an everyday writer, but rather for a fun alternative that will have people saying "why does your writing look multicolored like that?!"

Wish I had discovered this earlier
I need permanent black ink for my urban sketching. I tried cheap inks thinking they were all the same. They are not. The cheap stuff clogs the pen and doesn't flow as smoothly as you want. This stuff is like silk and doesn't dry up in the pen or get crusty around the bottle lid. Everything about it is a 1000% better than anything I had been using. Don't go cheap. The price difference is not very much given the far superior quality. I would never use anything else. I think I actually save money because I get to use all the ink instead of wasting it due to cleaning up the dry crusty bottle lip and not needing to constantly clean my pen.

Fan of Noodler’s
I’ve always liked this ink. It goes down more vibrant and looks nice when wet. But decently holds its color when dry. Highly recommend.

Amazing but could use a metal lid though
Fantastic quality all for but the lid had a small crack in it that made a small mess. Ink was still filled to the brim full despite the leak and after some electrical tape is fine.Would prefer a metal lid though to prevent thisI Plan on ordering many more of this company’s ink🤝

Top quality and performance
Noodler’s Waterproof black is my new favorite ink. I have tried many black inks. This one is very dark, consistent, and waterproof. It writes well on medium to high quality paper and doesn’t do too badly on cheap paper either. I write with a dip pen, and I value the smoothness and viscosity. I like good line width variation and this ink works perfectly for that.I also picked up Apache Sunset for the first time. It’s fun and beautiful, but don’t get it wet! Both are a delight.

Great invisible ink
I’m using this with a glass dip pen, and it works very well. It flowed quite nicely from the nib, and it’s a pretty large bottle for the price. It’s definitely going to last me a while. It shows up very well under a black light and dries pretty fast. The bottle was super full (just below the rim of the neck), which was a nice surprise, but be careful when you open it so you don’t spill it. I can’t speak to how long it lasts as it just arrived today, but I’m quite happy with it!

Smooth
I'm using the ink for addressing envelopes and also for detail work on watercolor paintings. The ink is richly smooth and flows easily onto paper. It's a perfect dark inky black, exactly what I needed and a great price. This bottle is going to last me a long time.
