Vega X-280 Open Face Helmet

Like all DOT inspected helmets you sacrifice looks for safety. The padding is thick so you'll look goofy compared to the non DOT inspected ones. I have a DOT inspected shell top and I look more goofy wearing that than this helmet, so that's a win. I gave 4 stars because it's exactly as advertised. Include a picture of what people look like wearing it and I'll give 5.

It's an adorable helmet and it's very strong! It fits great and is exactly what is described. It is a fantastic buy for the price!

This helmet fits well, going by their chart, I ordered one size down from usual, but it works. It is surprisingly light in weight and of good quality. It also is very quiet, making my Harley seem pretty quiet, with little wind noise. The only issue is that it has a fat seam on the inside front lining that leaves a long-lasting indentation in my forehead, though it isn't painful. I have yet to find a helmet that doesn't have some issue like that after wearing it for a few hours. Otherwise, I recommend it, but if you are putting in 500 mile days, you might want something else. I might cut out the seam on the liner and glue it down, then I think it will be perfect.

I love this helmet. Open face is not the safest, but I use it as a passenger helmet, and it's a really great scooter helmet. I put coke-bottle goggles above the brim to really finish off the scooter vibe.

I ordered this helmet and ended up not really caring for it. It sits up very high and is pretty bulky. Though I will say it fit true to size

Product was not as advertised. It was suppose to be a 2x. The product was also only DOT rated which the ad did not give all the rating one needed

Just needed something for riding the Hatfield McCoy trails, the price was right, and rode comfortably for two days solid, over forty miles, no issues, good visibility. Also attached IonPro camera, and got solid video. My wife thought I looked a little funny with it on my big head, but better funny looking than brain damaged! Delivery was as promised.

I bought this helmet to cover my head when I ride my very old motorcycle around town in a busy city. Given that I wear it in short spurts, I like it. The helmet is strong and substantial but not too heavy. The padding is thick, and the strap holds in place very well. The helmet has air vents, but I don't ride long enough to notice whether or not they're helpful. I suspect they work well, but the vents do not look particularly helpful. Wearing the helmet with sunglasses is comfortable. The helmet is a bit larger than I anticipated. When you throw it on, you might think you look a bit like Marvin the Martian, but it's not too bad. I plan on buying another for passengers.
