An excellent replacement for some locally hard-to-find bulbs.
These are now my standard go-to bulks. Reasonably priced, very bright and long lasting.

Low intensity light
This was a direct, easy replacement for the incandescent bulb for my 2D maglite I've had since about 2005. Brightness is an upgrade over stock, yet I'd still describe the brightness as fairly low. I can confirm the "donut hole" effect. I've attached a picture comparing it to a modern 6 AA LED flashlight for $20 from the hardware store.

Fits my Maglight perfectly!
I have no complaints. When I ordered these bulbs, my expectations werenโt high, I just wanted to be able to use my old Maglights again. Some reviews complained about fitment, others about brightness. My experience is they live up to their claims. They fit my flashlights and are much brighter than the original bulbs. A little pricey for two small flashlight bulbs, but not a big investment, after all. I recommend them!

Great upgrade to old MagLite flashlight
The bulbs both arrived well packaged and in working order. They were easily replaced and fit well into my D-cell MagLite flashlight. There was a noticeable improvement in the brightness and zoomability of the light not to mention the extended battery benefits of an LED bulb vs the old ones. I definitely recommend this upgraded bulb if you are running the original bulbs in your MagLite.

Makes an old MagLite ALMOST new
I inherited an older MagLite that uses 3 D-cells. It's certainly a well made piece of equipment but the light output from the incandescent bulb is dismal. I have a $7 pocket LED light that uses a pair of AAA batteries that's more powerful. I bought this bulb so I could try to bring the old MagLite up to speed. And I did-- sort of. I didn't check the light output before and after, but I'd guess the bulb is well over 2X the brightness of the incandescent. I also didn't check power consumption but I expect the LED will give a significant boost in battery life. Is it as bright as other LED flashlights? No. There's a bunch of LED lights out there that are both less expensive and more powerful than a MagLite. I have a 6V Energizer lantern that cost something like $13 when I bought it a few years ago. That lantern is brighter than the MagLite with the conversion bulb, and it's also way cheaper if you have to start from scratch. But I didn't start from scratch, and I suspect that most people buying this bulb won't either. They will have bought a MagLite at a garage sale, or found one in a family member's garage (like I did), or have one that they bought new years ago when LEDs were for on/off switches and not for flashlights. They'll want to update something that they already have, and this bulb is ideal for that. My new MagLite isn't as bright as one of the inexpensive LED lights that are so common now, but it will survive some pretty severe levels of abuse and still throw a pretty decent beam of light. It went from a doorstop to a tool that's worth using with one simple change.

First impressions are positive
Back in the 1980s and 1990s, those big skull basher Maglites were quite popular. Seems like every household had at least one tucked away, and they were common sights on the belts of police and security guards. A flashlight that could double as a melee weapon certainly had its appeal, but flashlight technology has come a long way over the decades. So much so that those old Maglites had lost their sheen. That's where these LED conversion kits come into play. For (as of this writing) $9 you can get one and for $16 you can snag two. I decided to grab the two pack, not really sure what to expect from these. I tested them on my 3 cell Maglite gifted to me so many holiday seasons ago. The other was my Dad's 4 cell Maglite which I'm sure is at least a quarter century old as of this writing. My initial impressions are very positive. For starters, the installation is about as simple as can be, it takes mere minutes. As for the end result, it breathes new life into these old behemoths. I will agree with some other reviewers, who noted that the final result is not as bright as a brand new LED Maglite, of which I own a couple myself. Still, you have to remember that's comparing a brand new flashlight to one likely many years old. That said, the LED conversion is much brighter than the old incandescent bulbs, honestly more so than I expected. There was a peculiar greenish tint to the lights as well, both mine and my Dad's, though it does not affect using the light. Its not like someone casting a color filter over your flashlight or anything that strong, just a very minor hint of a pale green. Overall, I'm pleased. I hated the idea of getting rid of my old Maglite, but with so many better options, I just never used it anymore. That's definitely going to change. I plan on keeping it under the bed in case of power outages or other late night curiosities. For the record, I held onto the old bulbs from both my and my Dad's Maglites just in case. Initial impressions are positive, but I have no idea how these lights will hold up in the long run. Still, giving those old Maglite titans a new lease on life is worth a $9 LED in my humble opinion.

Absolutely transformed my torch
This Led bulb transformed my filament Maglite to an amazingly bright torch! And at a cost of โน900! A new LED maglite costs around 10k, but with this small cost I have saved a lot and also got a quality product.
