These are so cute for curious toddlers!
My boys had these when they were little and loved them! Now, I have grandsons and I saw that they still make them. I couldn’t wait to get them for my little country boys! They love the gadgets. It’s well made and a good price for a cute, unique toy. Pretty simple and easy to use.

2 year old approved
My oldest son has a collection of pocket knives and had been begging to give one to his little brother. I found this and thought it would be perfect and safe. It is a bit bulky but I expected that because I remember my own brother having a similar one as a kid. I think this is perfect for little ones who enjoy hand tools and it even clips to belt loops.

fun little toy knife
this knife is so cute. we got it for my toddler because her older sister was getting a real one. my toddler loves it. she as well takes it camping with us although it isn't real she acts like it is.

HUGE - but fun for little ones
Obviously, I could have paid more attention to the measurements on the description -- but we were shocked, and alot disappointed, at the size of this knife. My 3 yr old daughter wanted a knife like Daddy's and big brother's, so we were excited to find this. However, we, her included, are sad that it can't fit into her pocket :-(She still likes it and is proud of it. but i have no doubt she would love it more if it were smaller like the ones the big boys carry. As for quality - it is well made. yes, it is plastic - but it is not flimsy. the blade options are easy enough that her little fingers can manipulate them, but they aren't so loose that they fall out.It is a cool looking 'knife' and the blades all look very similar to the real thing -- but do be aware that IS NOT a toy knife that is going to fit in your little one's pocket. If they are ok carrying it around and/or clipping to pants, then you WILL be pleased with this purchase!

Just like Daddy's
OK well maybe not quite but he enjoys this. Bought this for our 2.5 year old boy as he is always attempting to 'lift' mine out of my pocket. I was wondering about its durability as our son can be quite rough on his toys at times.. just like any other little boy his age. Its held up nicely and he plays with it everyday and has it hanging from a belt loop on his pants quite often. If it hasn't been damaged by now I'm sure it'll last. The first few days while playing with it I'd show him how to open it as if it were a real knife. Then how to close it with hand palm on the back edge of the saw, knife, etc. He now operates the knife properly just as a responsible adult would a true knife. For this reason I give it a 5 star educational rating however this only applies where the parents spend the time teaching the child the proper technique. Really.. a few minutes the first couple days was all it took. I see him everyday at some point walking around looking through the magnifier at different things as well which adds to curiosity of other items.I had an old (as in decades old) single blade folding pocket knife that was duller then a dull butter knife. Seriously a round ball would have been just as sharp. While it was too stiff for him to open I gave it to him yesterday while he was playing with his toy knife and some play dough. I asked him to close it for daddy. He correctly held the knife handle and used his other hand on the back edge of the blade to safely close it. Again, I was there with my hands at his basically guiding his hands though not actually touching. He smiled and tried to run off with it at that point but never made it out of my arms reach. :)This isn't simply a toy knife. Its a decently made educational tool (again, with the proper guidance) with enough gadgets on it to keep them playing with it. He has been out camping a few times last year and this will be a fun way for him to 'help' daddy this coming camping season. I've already seen less interest in my real knife so the fascination has safely turned to familiarity which results in less likelihood of him hurting himself later in life. Teach them young and teach them correctly. They will grow up better for it!UPDATE - June 22 2015===================OK so this was purchased Dec 16 2012 for my son as a Christmas gift. As of today, 2 1/2 years later, this is still going strong and my almost 5 year old son continues to use it often. Nothing on it has broken. Nothing on it has bent or cracked. Even the little clip is still intact and working as it should. Sure, there are some light scratches and marks on it however I'm very happy with this little toy knife. I couldn't begin to imagine the play-dough this thing has cut through! As I stated in my original review above, it also makes an great educational tool. He still doesn't have his own real knife of course however at the age of 5 he does know and understand how to safely hold, operate and handle a folding blade knife.I'd fully recommend this to any parent looking for a toy knife for their child without any issues.

Pay Attention To The Size!
My 6 year old wanted a pocket knife for Christmas, but we don't trust him yet with an actual blade of any sort so I was very excited to find this toy!My child was thrilled to receive it and loves all the features. He is not a gentle child so that it has lasted for more than two months means it is quite durable. It is quite large. Easily 5x the size of a real utility pocket knife. So it does not fit in a pocket. The size is probably in the description but I failed to check that and was very surprised when it arrived.

Little bigger which is ok
It’s larger in person but that’s ok my son won’t lose it as easily other tha. That great way to teach safety with a knife
