RECOMMENDED. Easy to switch back and forth
I bought the trailer for my bike, and we loved in. Then winter hit and it was a little chilly out for a bike ride. I sucked it up and got the conversion kit, and now this is our favorite way to ride! I love it...cup holder, easy to assemble, goes anywhere. Awesome. The only annoying thing is sometimes the front wheel vibrates like crazy, bounces back and forth. To counter that, I just lean back on the trailer; take the weight off the front wheel for a bit, and it recenters straight again. Not a problem, but I get where it would bug runners.Easy to pivot in small spaces (I've got a large basset hound), and easy to swtich back and forth from stroller to bike trailer.

Does what it needs to do, but not impressed.
I use this with the Solvit HoundAbout Pet Bicycle Trailer. It is functional and does what it needs to do, but I'm not impressed with it overall.Handlebars: A bit annoying to eyeball where to tight the clamps onto the trailer. Also seems the clamps might weaken overtime or could easily be over-tightened, possibly damaging the trailer (hasn't happened yet). A bit unwieldy trying to make sure it clamps on evenly on both sides. Would have preferred something to help it line up (grooves maybe?) or snap into place. There is not that much exposed trailer frame that would make too much of a difference for height adjustment.Wheel & frame arm: Connects easily and somewhat quickly to the trailer frame, separate from the bike arm assembly. This assembly is LONG, longer that initially visualized, and using the trailer on enclosed spaces (trains, elevators) extremely difficult if not impossible. It supports the weight of my dog (45 lbs), but the length and arm frame curvature allows the front end of the trailer to bounce up and down quite a bit when my dog moves around. This makes my dog uneasy, as if he doesn't have secure footing. It is nice having an air inflated tire instead of a foam/solid tire and the wheel maneuverability is good. Design could be improved it shortened, perhaps even right in front of or under the trailer if the wheel was smaller.Brake: Works well enough, but not a fan of the design. The hinge-structure doesn't move smoothly; it seems to stick too much when opened or closed. Nor does it seem to put much contact on the wheel. The braking is enough to keep it in place, helping when the dog enters or exits the trailer, but I wouldn't trust it alone to hold the dog in the trailer if on a decent hillside. An improvement would be a cable & locking handbrake or similar option to help brake on downhills, especially if it brakes for both wheels. I may eventually modify bicycle brakes for this.Cup holder: does what it needs to do. Doesn't hold anything much larger than a small bottle of water / soda can size drink.

it's not hard to put together and the materials for the Large Dog 88lbs model I have are good. They could do better in the following ways
As far as changing life for my two elderly dogs....I'd have to rate it a 10. We've been on 5 1.5 mile "strolls" and haven't used the bike attachment yet.As an engineering piece, it's not hard to put together and the materials for the Large Dog 88lbs model I have are good. They could do better in the following ways:The front wheel wobbles and you need to torque down the bearing nut. When I did so, I greased both ball bearing races, because to stop the wobble at fast walk speed required a fair amount of pressure on the bearings.Be sure to retighten the front wheel gooseneck mount to the frame (two bilts) even with the nylock nuts, they seemed to need a half turn more after 2-3 uses. The side wheel mounts are square male-female. to make the fit more snug, I used strips of aluminum flashing with a srip of duct tape on two of the four male sides. The cart feels tighter now and I think the reduced play will result in less wear, long term. The brake is poorly engineered. It's like the holes for mounting are in the worng place, or they mis-drilled to leve arms on the mechanism. I'll play with a fix.Once dialed-in this buggy has performed as I'd hoped when I ordered it.

Bad design - front wheel wobbles bad!
I bought a Solve-it brand dog stroller/trailer years ago and I was very happy with it. It rode super smooth, but after all the years, the fabric tore and my dogs passed and so I got rid of it. I now have a Malinois and she loves to run, but in the Florida heat, she can get overheated while I’m skating, especially in the summer, so I thought I’d buy another Solve-It trailer/stroller. Well, the front wheel for the stroller has a terrible wobble!!! It’s not mild at all! I called customer service and they graciously sent me a whole new kit. I was excited to finally be able to use my stroller, but nope…same thing! I called again and they sent me another kit…same thing! I now have 3 stroller kits and they all wobble!! I called a bike shop and they said they’d try to fix it. They trued the wheel so it rolls straight, but they called me to let me know is just engineered poorly. The arm is too flimsy for the weight. I am sooo disappointed. I now have this bulky trailer in my room that I can still use as a bike trailer, but what I really wanted to use it for was to go skating with my dog, and now I can’t use it and it’s too late to return. I do not recommend the stroller kit! Only get it if you only want to use it as a bike trailer…

Good for a heavy dog
This is perfect. I have a 68lb billy who just had knee surgery but missed her walks, so I now push her around in this little cart. Got the bike extender too. Both work beautifully - she was a little nervous on her first ride but loves it now!

Fantasticly designed product. Easy to use and sturdy.
The Stroller Conversion was fantastic. We only use the Trailer with this set up. It easily attaches and the wheel is sturdy. With this set up it is very easy to turn and push. The handle is comfortable and set at a good height. We do a lot of walking so the drink holder was an added bonus. A very well thought out product. Highly recommend this product for anyone with a large dog that is not mobile due to injury or illness.
