This does not have a very large capacity but has some weight to help keep it in place. We did not have a problem with it tipping over. Our boxer was able to figure out (after a few tries and some training) how to eat and drink with her cone on (extra long for a corneal ulcer). We are not using it anymore because she doesn't need the cone (she needs a larger bowl), but we are storing it in case we need it again. We were very happy to find this when we needed it.

My pup is over seventeen years old and over the past year has lost quite a bit of strength in his hind legs. Most recently he has had a hard time eating because he had to bend down too far. I purchased the large bowl for my pet who is 22 pounds and it works perfectly. He can now eat standing or sitting and without the pain that he was in prior. This bowl is truly a lifesaver for my pet. I regret not having purchased something like this a long time ago. The base is very sturdy and has a lot of weight so it won’t fall over. The metal dish is easy to clean. The bowls with base are stackable and can travel without taking up too much space. I am so happy to have found this product.I am adding this to update my review. I have since loss my elderly pet who was over eighteen and a half years. We recently got a basset hound puppy I was going to use some old bowls I had at home, but his floppy ears kept ending up in the bowl. I went ahead and got him the small bowls and they were just as good of a quality as the large bowls. The bowl is also deep so it can hold quite a bit of food or water. These are great and a must have for long eared dogs.

We have two; they look great, just slightly off-white, clean and graceful. The large is just right for our 50-lb Basset Hound: 32-oz cups for her food, at 6.5" high she can eat comfortably, and it even keeps her ears out. (Most low rigs have tiny cups, and many with 4-cup bowls are way too high for her.) Stainless cups are my choice for durability and cleaning. They don't move around, at least on our WaterHog mat. The cups have just enough wiggle room that Snoopy can signal to us that her water bowl is empty.Sadly, although we paid $12.99 each a few weeks ago, the large white is now over twice that.

I originally purchased this Dogit elevated bowl in size small but it was minuscule and had different proportions than size large, which is what's pictured in the listing. Size small was a dwarf not even big enough for a cat. Size large is a tall, elegant swan, off-white melamine with a precisely fitted black anti-skid rubber line at the bottom and a removable stainless steel bowl. It looks gracious but is actually quite heavy and sturdy. My dog is a Mini Poodle -- 14" tall at the shoulder and 14 lbs -- and size large suits him perfectly for both eating and drinking. It's easy to remove the stainless steel insert for a quick wash by hand; the bowls (both parts) have also gone through the dishwasher multiple times with no issues. Roomba does not knock them over. I'm very glad I did not give up on this product after the size problem and after one of the bowls arrived broken. If there's anything to note is that the bowl clinks quite a bit as the dog eats kibble and the steel insert moves slightly in the plastic base so this is not recommended for dogs that are freaked out by clinking metal noises, as many of my former fosters were.

I LOVE THIS BOWL! Bought the large dog size for an 8lb, old, blind Shih Tzu. She would stand at her old bowl bobbing her head barely making the water level. I even elevated her old water bowl atop small cutting boards. THAT DID NOT WORK WELL! She sometimes fell into the shorter set-up.  Saw this sturdy looking bowl set and decided a 6 1/2" height Large dog bowl might work better. IT WORKS VERY WELL! She drinks without any difficulty now. Thank you for greatly improving my little old dog's life!

I bought this for my 2 basset babies. Their ears would be sopping wet after a drink in their previous dish. This one is PERFECT to keep their ears out of the water dish! However, it is not very big, even though it’s “large.” I’m constantly having to refill the water dish. But it works for their long ears so I’m fine with that!

Product is good design and well made. Height is good. Bowl does not have enough food capacity for my dog. Lookind for a smaller dog to gift it to.

I have a 13 year old Shorkie who has a collapsed trachea and coughs after drinking. I was looking for a new water bowl to keep in our living room for her and this is absolutely perfect! The height is great for her and I really appreciate others who wrote about getting the large bowl instead of the small one. She is 14 pounds and the large is the perfect size!

I was skeptical when I first saw them but after filling with water and food for my 110 lb dog, I was sold. He had no issues with eating his kibble and there was no food flipping out at all. Same with the water, no spillage or splashing worth mentioning. I always use mat with slightly raised edges lined with a small hand towel to keep his area clean anyway. Easy to wipe down and they look nice in the kitchen. I did get the larger one which was still nice and compact.

I bought this for my older dog at feeding times to support his posture and aid comfort. The product has two parts - firstly the raised outer section is made of good quality plastic and the second is a metal bowl which fits easily into the plastic raised section. Easy to clean - have ordered additional to use as water bowls.
